A spacious 2 bedroom south west facing penthouse apartment, with large balcony and huge private rooftop terrace offering stunning sea views. Guests have access to 2 beautiful swimmings pools located within the small complex. The apartment is ideally located within a peaceful, well maintained gated community in Calahonda, only a few minutes drive to the beach and 12 km from Marbella.
The large and bright living room opens directly onto the south-west facing balcony, ideal for sitting out and enjoying your breakfast! The balcony is fitted with an electric sun blind, so offers the perfect place to chill out with a cool drink if the afternoon sun gets a bit hot. The living room also offers two comfortable sofas, television with 195 satellite channels, dvd player, and a small stereo. The entire apartment has air conditioning or heating as required.
We really enjoy cooking, so you can expect a fully equipped kitchen with oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, washing machine and importantly a dolce gusto coffee machine to help get your day started!
There are two double bedrooms, both with built-in wardrobes. The master bedroom opens directly onto the balcony and also has an ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom has access to a separate bathroom. Both bathrooms are fitted with walk in showers.
Not many people can live without the internet these days, so we are pleased to offer a free wireless high speed internet connection.
Soak up the sun on the private rooftop terrace, which has sun loungers, tables and chairs for your use, or use the furnished balcony to relax and enjoy sundowners as the sun sets over Gibraltar and the North African coastline. The private rooftop terrace is accessed directly from the apartment via a private solid floor staircase.
There are 2 beautiful swimming pools within this tranquil gated complex. These are reached via two flights of stairs. The landscaped gardens allow beautiful views of the surrounding valley and ocean.
This peaceful urbanisation is located on a hill just 3km from the beach. The local area is maintained to a very high standard, and offers beautiful sea views. There is a bar and several restaurants only 600m down the street. Closer to the beach there are numerous restaurants, bars, supermarkets and much more. The Costa del Sol area is well known for its golf courses and is often called the Costa del Golf! There are more than 70 golf courses in the region, 15 of which are within 10km of our apartment. The climate makes this area a year round golfing destination.
Our beautiful apartment is located a pleasant 30 minute drive from Malaga airport, and 15 minutes from bustling Marbella. Our favourite spot is the old town in Marbella, wander the narrow streets and stop often at the restaurants for some tapas and drinks!
Getting around is easy. A reliable taxi service operates from Calahonda, and are readily available. From our apartment a taxi will cost approximately €6 to lower Calahonda.
During the summer, a local bus service runs several times a day (less frequently in winter) between upper and lower Calahonda.
Frequent bus services also run from lower Calahonda to nearby Marbella and Fuengirola.
As parents ourselves, we know travelling with small children can be difficult, so to make your life easier, a travel cot and bottle steriliser are available on request in advance of your arrival.
We provide linens, towels and beach towels. We also have a beach umbrella and windbreak you can take with you to the seaside.
For guests considering a winter getaway, we have a heating system, working fireplace in the sitting room and the balcony is fitted with glass curtains which can be closed to convert the balcony into a sunroom.
Guests will be welcomed upon arrival and shown the apartment by the hosts parents. As they live in the area, they are more than happy to provide you with local recommendations. Any questions regarding the apartment itself may be asked and hopefully clarified at this point, however we are contactable throughout your stay via phone/email/homeaway.
Although not essential, a car is recommended as our apartment is located on a hill, with some steep sections.
We try our best to accommodate any requests for early check-in and late check outs, however this is subject to availability.
