This Beach House is all you need. Sleeps 6. Two beaches and a boat ramp!
Jenn manages the reservations. Bonnie lives on the jetty and handles the on-site management. The owner has been on this jetty since the 1950's. This beach is so special that the properties are passed down through the generations. We just can't let go. The neighbors are friends - in some cases 50 years worth and more.
Why Jenn chose Camano Island
This beach is unique to Camano Island. It is the only spit on the island that has water on both sides. This particular Beach House does have water on both sides. Triangle bay in the the back of the Beach House and Port Susan Bay in the front. It has an expansive view from Camano Head to Everett waterfront to Warm Beach. On a clear day Mt Rainier is a huge focus point. This beach is also known for the ever changing beach especially in the winter. The winter storms are incredible with logs rolling in with the surf. In the summer walking the beach and being part of the experience to swim, boat, crab and be inventive of the fun available is a vacation never to forget. This property is also special because it has one of a very few boat ramps on the beach. You can use it for 14-16 ft boats and of course sailboats and kayaks.
What makes this House unique
Boat Ramp and the most sought after beach on the island.. Travel time is est an 1.5 hours from Seattle and even though Island is attached to its name there is no ferry, just a fancy new bridge. There are many activities on and off the beach. It's amazing.
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
Friendly and relaxing
Great place for a walk and a lazy afternoon. The people are friendly and the view is renewing.
Birders' paradise, lovely community
This house is very much a beach cottage in color scheme and amenities. It's located in a quirky community called Driftwood. What makes it quirky is that it's a spit of land that has a bay in front and a lagoon in the back. There is assortment of houses on this spit from beach shack to looming huge mansion. This particular rental house is one of the few that has front and back views. The downside to this place is that the houses are built quite close together. The tides are odd, like many WA island locations where the lagoon really empties during the day and becomes a mud flat filled with clams, oysters and LOTS of birds. From the cottage you can see several bald eagles! I'd say it's a birder's haven. You'd think the drained lagoon would smell but it really doesn't unless you are standing in it! (The mud is very sticky - best to avoid walking in it.) My son loved paddling his kayak from the bay to the lagoon. (We brought our own kayaks - the listing says there are kayaks there but that was not true.) The local manager is Bonnie - she very friendly, responsive and easy-going. The house is tidy and the kitchen is pretty well stocked (for equipment) as far as rentals go. I always travel with my own knives and cast iron skillet so we did fine! We met several home owners while walking our dog - very friendly and welcoming residents. Thank you!
Charming beach cottage
We enjoyed our stay on Camano - charming cottage, lots of beds, great access to the beach!
Loved our stay at your property.
We will be back. The weather was absolutely fabulous!! This was our dream beach cottage.
Beautiful waterfront spot!
We loved our stay on Driftwood Shores! The place was super clean, organized, and well appointed with great kitchen supplies, beach towels, blankets, etc. Beautiful view of the water on three sides of the cabin! The beach is definitely rocky so bring beach shoes if you plan to swim/walk on the beach. Bonnie was super helpful and it was great to have her just down the road! Would definitely come back again. Thanks for everything!
Wonderful Beach Stay over Easter Weekend
My son, our dogs, and I stayed here over the Easter weekend. The cabin is super clean, has a great use of space, and everything you could need for your stay. Kitchen, bathroom, laundry are fully stocked with dishes, cookware, soap, shampoo, laundry detergent. All beds were comfy with cozy bed covers. The Wifi had a strong connection. There is a chest full of board games, and we logged on to Netfix to watch a movie, but spent most of our time touring Camano Island and on the beach playing in with the driftwood and flying a kite. The beach is steps away from the cabin porch. Bonnie, who manages the place, is great! She came down to say hi with her pup, and left us a welcome note on the dining table. All communications with Jenn and Bonnie were quick and easy. We look forward to visiting this cabin again. It is such a wonderful get away from the city; a quiet place to relax, and have fun.
An added attraction is a NW Zip line located just three miles from the Beach House .Great fun !
