Beautiful. looking forward to coming again. Can't wait.
The best Thanksgiving ever at the wonderful Parkill Farm!
We had a great time here! It was a wonderful gathering spot for our family. The main house & two extra cottages gave us plenty of beds for the whole family! The owners are delightful people that we enjoyed getting to know! They wotk hard to make you feel at home & comfortable! We used the more than full kitchen for our Thanksgiving feast! Everyone was in there cooking, We had 3 complete kitchens, the main house, & the two guest cottages.it was great having the extra refrigs & stoves! The guys all gathered in the TV room to watch football ! We also had a big bonfire in the fire pit one night down by the lake ! That was really fun! We all had a great time staying here & I would highly recommend it!! ( we did rent a golf cart to get around, that added to the fun! )
Wonderful Weekend away
My family and I went to Park Hill Farms with two other families. The main house is beautiful! We could not get over the attention to detail and how spacious everything was. The land is also amazing and beautiful. The owners, Kim and Dan, were there and were so helpful. They brought out fun outdoor games for our kids, gave us a golf cart to use on the property, helped us get set up on different activities, including their paddle boat and fishing. The owners will also take you and kids down to the longhorns to feed them! We didn't get to feed a longhorn because the one the guests normally feed wasn't at the gate, so they rode off to look for her and it turns out she had just had a baby about an hour before! The owners let us walk up close to the longhorns so we could see the new baby, and it was a very cool experience.
It is weird to say the property is soooo child friendly, because the house is magnificent and fancy and stunning (and there are about 15 different places to enjoy a cup of coffee if you didnt have to chase kids around) but it really was soooo child friendly. There was so much space for kids to play, there were games, and the owners even had child life jackets!
We all had such a great time! We would definitely come back in a while, especially since the owners seem to have such amazing future plans for the place.
Thank you for a great weekend!
So fun being on this historical property!
This is such a beautiful historical home situated on land with rolling hills and a breathtaking view. We stayed here overnight with two other families and there was more than enough room for all of us. There are so many quaint places throughout the house to sit and have a cup of coffee. The porch was also one of our favorite places with it's rocking chairs and amazing views. Kids loved all the green space! and the owner took us to feed the longhorns which was such a treat for all! We will definitely be back.
Historical treasure ...
I chose to make this an overnight stop during a long trip. This home is absolutely beautiful and a must see for history buffs. Has all the charm and history of a Southern antebellum home with tall ceilings and original period furnishings. The grounds are beautiful with a pond, horses and "Bubba" the sheep as well as Texas Longhorns and an abundance of newly planted fig and pecan trees. The owners are most gracious. I certainly look forward to my next visit.
Beautiful Place, a MUST SEE!
My husband and I wanted to take a weekend get away. We chose to go see this beautiful place that we had heard about in Crockett, Texas.
The drive was a short 3 hours, and it was worth it! Park Hill Farm is so beautiful, and the hospitality was wonderful!
The home that we stayed in was very comfortable and very inviting. With so much history, that we could actually see for ourselves. The rooms were filled with antique furniture and fixtures, most were the originals.
The 100 acre ranch has so much to see. The longhorns were just one of the beauties to see! Live longhorns! Awesome! The beautiful race horses would walk right up to the fence!
Shopping on the town square is just minutes away, if you wanted to get in a little shopping in.
We can't wait to go back!
