About Lisa Leung
Hi! I'm Lisa, I'm a photographer based in UK and HK. I own an apartment in Auberge Jerome and have recently taken over the management from P&V. I love to spend time there in the Summer and Ski season with my family and friends when it is not rented out. I have two boarder collie dogs and lots of cats! (Don't worry, not in the chalet apartment!) I am friendly and helpful and enjoy travelling, meeting new people and I am a big foodie and love skiing and the mountain views. Since I have two teenage girls who I have travelled extensively with I know what is important for travelling parents.
Lisa Leung purchased this apartment in 2004
Why Lisa Leung chose Arc-1950
I choose this property because of the unique alpine village location, being perched high up on the edge of the mountain with beautiful views, lots of long lasting snow in the Winter due to the North facing slopes, thinking about global warming and how it is effecting resorts that are at a lower altitude, Arc 1950 and Les Arc in general usually has an extra week or two of skiing after all the other resorts are finished for the season because of the lasting snow Arc 1950 has. Arc 1950 was built by Intrawest who were the builders and developers of Whistler, so I knew the building would be solid and of an excellent standard, of which it is. I love the design of the buildings around the village, they all look individual and it makes the village look quaint. I love all the activities the village puts on for our guests, sledding, drinks, roasting mashmallows by the fire, mini golf, ski jumping displays, fireworks, etc, to name just a few. I love the fact that the parking is underground, beneath the village, so there is no traffic, fumes or slushy snow anywhere. It always looks lovely and clean and most important of all it is safe, especially ideal for families with small children. Everything is close by, from the ski lifts, restaurants and bars, underground parking, ski hire, ski schools, clinic, bakery, supermarket, all within minutes of each other.
What makes this apartment unique
Another great feature about my apartment is the fact that it is ski-in-ski-out. The ski lockers are literally seconds away in the same building and you can then pop your skis and boots on and be on the slopes right outside the door. The gym, sauna, steam room and swimming pool are a plus too, they are all in the same building and if you get bored of them you can go to the Spa in the next building which is FANTASTIC! A state of the art experience. Fun, relaxing and exciting all at the same time. You can see Mount Blanc from the resort, it is a beautiful sight on a clear sunny day. It brings a tear to my eye every time I see it when I arrive and leave!
