Cute little House

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at the cottage. Anne is just so much fun and so warm and welcoming. She was also a huge help to us as far as finding our way around and she helped us in other ways too.

Great Stay

  • 5 of 5

Spent three nights at the Houma Port House and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a great place to stay. The house is ideally located close to restaurants and other businesses making it perfect for anyone staying overnight in Houma. I spend quite a bit of time in the Houma area and will look no further for overnight accommodations. If you are visiting Houma don't overlook this place. Five stars without any hesitation.

Stayed here for a weeks worth of work

  • 5 of 5

Great little house. Only downside is the outside noise from the loose bridge plate when traffic runs over it. Ms Anne is a fantastic hostess

We had a happy home

  • 4 of 5

Our little cottage served us well during a week's stay in Houma visiting friends and touring Creole Country.

Actually it is bigger than it looks and we had plenty of space.

I would have liked having a microwave but otherwise enjoyed the nice clean well stocked kitchen.

There was no central air but two window units and ceiling fans kept us comfortable.

We were glad to have the full size washer and dryer.

The owner Anne lives right next door and was very attentive to our needs - even bringing over an ironing board for us.

We appreciated the car port as it protected the car from the very warm sun.

The cottage is located close to the historic part of Houma and right across the street from the city Marina (which is very quiet. Only a couple of yachts came through.

We arrived at night and had some trouble finding the place. It's a little tricky so get good directions.

We would definitely stay there again if and when we return to Houma LA

Extended Stay

  • 5 of 5

Property is clean and well-maintained. Anne provided excellent customer service. Excellent location; walking access to Hospital & the downtown area.

*I needed an extended stay location for work; this was far more homey and a better value than the local hotels & motels. I stayed for an entire month. I would have stayed longer, but Anne had another booking. Thanks Anne!
