Private cul de sac behind the 2nd security gate, beautiful 2014 home
Nestled next to a private lagoon in the exclusive Falcon Point neighborhood, this newly-built 2014 home offers the perfect retreat for a couple or family. 46 Salt Cedar is meticulously appointed, with 1 master bedroom suite, 2 master bedrooms, 2 dual-twin bedrooms, and 4.5 baths.
The house is only a few short minutes biking or walking to private and public beaches, as well as the Osprey Point Golf Course. 4 bikes (and more can be arranged) stand ready for your use in the 2-car garage. Kiawah is home to 7 championship-level golf courses, and 10 miles of uninterrupted beach.
South facing, this home is embraced by water on two sides and enjoys spectacular lagoon views, gentle breezes, and beautiful sunlight. Meticulous landscaping is elegantly lit so that it may be savored from dawn to dusk, well into the night. The gas fireplace on the screened-in porch also provides ample heat to combat the occasional cool sea breeze.
The first floor is dressed throughout in gorgeous hand scraped heart pine flooring, 10-foot ceilings fine moldings, casings, millwork, handcrafted ironwork, transom-topped Kolbe windows, and gorgeous shiplap; it is open, light, and bright.
Just off the foyer, the dining room comfortably seats 8 and is nestled into softly curved wall of the window-lined staircase. Open to the kitchen and great room, discreet pocket doors close to isolate the space when preferred.
The great room enjoys twelve-foot ceilings and stunning brick fireplace flanked by transom-topped French doors. From here, step out to the luxurious screened porch which is a gracious extension of the home marrying the indoor and outdoor living spaces. Decked in rich Brazilian ipe, the space enjoys a perfect balance of sunlight and shade. Just off the covered porch is an open sun deck with built-in gas grill.
The gourmet kitchen offers top-of-the-line finishes, cabinetry, and appliances, including Wolf double ovens, 6-burner gas range, warming drawers, Sub Zero refrigerator, and walk-in pantry. The exquisite granite counters and center island offer ample space to prepare meals, serve refreshments, and entertain guests, with stool seating for 3. The Butlers’ pantry is complete with an Uline beverage center, walk-in wine closet, custom cabinetry, and desk.
The luxurious first floor master suite is a private retreat offering gorgeous picture windows and French doors that open out to a private balcony. The elegant master bath features marble flooring, custom cabinetry, marble double vanity with Kohler and Rolf fixtures, a soaking tub, and walk-in marble shower with rain head.
Upstairs, two additional master queen bedrooms are fully appointed, including flatscreen TVs. Their bathrooms are finished with top of the line marble, tile, and thoughtful glass finishes.
Two additional dual-twin bedrooms provide sleeping for another 4, and are perfect for families with kids or a visiting guest! Note: the 5th bedroom does not have its own private bath.

Beautiful home, fabulous vacation.
Beautiful home, fabulous vacation. This was the perfect house for our vacation. The house is clean and elegant and beautifully decorated. But it is also family-friendly. There is a back porch overlooking the marsh which is spectacular. Great access to biking paths and beautiful nature walks. Just a short drive to the beach.
Hopefully you already know what a great place Kiawah Island is and are just looking for the perfect home to stay in. This is easily the nicest home we have ever rented and is likely the nicest 5 bedroom rental on KI. To call it "clean" would be an understatement as it is actually perfect. The home is only a couple of years old and is exceptionally well built. Each of the living areas is very comfortable and well configured with very nice furniture. And the home offers every amenity you might want for your stay for cooking, playing (4 bikes), and just lounging around (great views). There's also a huge, clean useable area under the home for anytime the weather is not cooperating. We brought a cornhole game and small ping pong table for some indoor competition. We would happily rent this beautiful home again as it was just the perfect setting for our family and the owners have done everything to make it a great stay.
Beautiful and exactly what you see!
This was a wonderful home to serve as our base as we explored Kiawah. Absolutely beautiful with very high end finishes. Plus the screen in porch was our favorite haunt after a day at the beach! The 4 bikes provided were our preferred method of travel to the beach and just around the island. I would highly recommend this property and its owner, Russ, who was very accommodating! We will be back!
Spectacular in every way!
This is an absolute dream home and a wonderful place to vacation. The house is huge, beautifully appointed, comfortable, quite, private, and it even has an elevator! The view of the pond from the back porch is so peaceful and wildlife is everywhere. The kitchen made me want to remodel my own home, we could easily bike to nearby beaches and restaurants, and there is a giant garage and driveway for more cars than you'll need. Tons of plush beds, big showers, and nice linens make for a very comfortable stay. The golf courses nearby are world-class (they still let me play!), and the beaches were clean, not crowded, and easy to get to. I can't recommend this place enough, and we were very sad to leave. The owners are very helpful and communicative if you need them; we hope to visit again soon.
Great Place to Stay
Just returned from a one week stay with family including infant grandchild. Beautiful home. New and well appointed. Can easily bike to beach if you aren't taking a lot of stuff. And nearby there's parking for cars right at beach access point. Very close to Osprey Point golf course and not far from the Ocean Course. Would recommend this place to anyone.
New to SC
Beautiful, well-appointed home in a gorgeous setting. Room enough for our whole family and then some! Walking distance to the beach and a short drive to Charleston, which is the epitome of southern charm. There are abundant golf courses, and wildlife galore (my favorite part). We will definitely stay here again!
