About the property

Great Location In The North End, Close To Major Attractions - 1 Br, 1 Ba

Cute and cool one bedroom. Bedroom with Queen size bed and one bathroom with a tub and shower are on the upper floor; kitchen and living room on the lower floor with a single sleeper sofa. Apartment sleeps 2; sleeper sofa can be used for a child if needed. Please note that stairs from 1st to 2nd floor are steep and narrow. Amenities include cable, internet WiFi, DVD, A/C on both floors, full kitchenette, linens and towels.

~~ Parking in the North End of Boston ~~

1. The best place to park without paying is in a visitors’ lot on Hanover Street. Pay attention to the signs because some are from 8am-6pm and some are 12pm –6pm. Free parking is limited usually to two hours and is often enforced.

2. Metered parking is usually available all along Commercial Street, which runs perpendicular to Hanover Street. Bring plenty of quarters.

3. For overnight parking, I recommend parking in the Sargent’s Wharf on Commercial Street, right next to Starbucks. The cost for overnight parking runs between $9 and $14, but be sure to check the rate schedule, because the rate may change for the daytime. For overnight parking on the street, most parking spaces are reserved for residents or valet parking zones.

4. There is also an indoor garage near the Fleet center called the North End Garage.

5. Meter maids are notorious in the North End. They love it because the neighborhood resembles the mess in Naples and Sicily in that there are lots of opportunities to give tickets. Most tickets run around $25, but they can only give them out once a day. So, if you receive a ticket, chances are that you can still park there for a while.

This is all I know about parking in the North End. Good luck.

Great location. Cozy and comfortable apartment

  • 5 of 5

We stayed four nights to attend our daughter's wedding. Perfect location. Comfortable bed. Easy and understandable check in and check out. Much better than an overpriced sterile hotel room. This apartment and the Northend neighborhood are fabulous.

Nice North End stay

  • 4 of 5

Loved being in the North End for a few nights. We even got to experience the Feast of St. Agrippina right outside our window. How fun to experience the native culture! Apartment is small, but adequate for a stay where you are mostly out seeing the sites. 1/2 block from the Freedom Trail. If you want great seafood and an authentic North End experience, try the Daily Catch about 2 blocks down Hanover. Only downsides--stairs in apartment up to bedroom are so narrow that it is almost difficult to get a large piece of luggage upstairs. Also they need to hang some towel racks--and hopefully will before you visit.

Location can't be beat.

  • 4 of 5

This apartment is in an old building in the North End. Because it is old, there are steep, narrow wooden steps and the apartment is small. If this poses a problem this is not the place for you. If that is not a concern it is a great place to be as you are right in the heart of the North End. The procedure for getting the key was easy.

Great location

  • 5 of 5

The best thing about this unit is its location. Just steps away from the Freedom Trail, right in the heart of Little Italy in the North End, with an abundance of restaurants . Also just a couple blocks from the waterfront and bike paths.

The unit is clean and nicely decorated. Not recommended for more than two people due to its small size. Be prepared for a couple of steep stairwells. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this unit for your visit to Boston.

Great location!!!

  • 4 of 5

Great location to great restaurants and sites. Very safe. Just the stairs inside was too narrow and steep to bring up the bigger luggages. I would stay here again if I returned to Boston!

Boston stay

  • 4 of 5

Apartment was nice, location excellent. Apartment is a little in need of some upgrades and stairs are cumbersome. But for overall price and location is a great value compared to other places. little Italy is fabulous. The four star rating is to reflect that.

Apartment is walking distance to many tourist attractions, including the Aquarium, Feneuil Hall, Quincy Market, Mike's Pastry Shop, and Freedom Trail, as well as many lovely cafes.
