About Lyn Jones

Briar Bank has been my family home for three generations, since my great-grandfather built it. Since moving into Dale intself it seemed a shame to let such a wonderful house go to waste and so I offer it to you as a home away from home in the beautiful Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Fantastic stay

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the house during the bank holiday weekend and it was perfect. The house was clean, comfortable and spacious and had everything we needed for cooking and relaxing. The views out of the house were incredible and the gardens were well maintained. There was more than enough parking and a short drive to a local shop and pub. Everything was exactly what we wanted for a beachside stay and we will be returning in the future

A comfortable, well-appointed bungalow in a great location

  • 5 of 5

If you are not familiar with the Dale area, it's a bit like Cornwall without the crowds. The local beaches range from secluded coves to broad expanses of sand. There is a great range of outdoor activities on offer in the local village and further afield. The only downside is the limited number of things to do if it rains.

Briar Bank is in a great position just outside Dale village, and it has the advantage of a wonderful view, whatever the weather. It is comfortable and well-equipped and is maintained in good condition. With four adults and three tiny children it was ideal, but it might be less convenient for an older family as the dining area is a bit cramped. The house was warm and dry and the bedrooms and living spaces were comfortable. The west-facing sun room was great in the evening and the big gas-fired barbecue worked well. The garden area is small, but safe for tiny children, and provides ample off-street parking.

The number of great beaches nearby suitable for all tastes, from paddling and exploring rock pools to surfing, and the amazing cliff-top walks made this a very successful choice of holiday house.
