Private parking and main entrance is at the rear of the property. This upper level , very private loft, with hardwood flooring throughout the home, has a huge living room with a bar and piano, big screen TV with X BOX 360 with video games, 2 Bedrooms, 1 king size bed, 1 queen size bed, and 1 comfortable queen size sleeper sofa. There are two different sections of the living room also. One features a sectional couch with the pullout queen sleeper and big screen TV. The other portion features a gathering / party area with a gas fireplace, antique bar, and antique piano.
This loft has two separate bedrooms that each could be considered the “Master bedroom”.
When you come in the backdoor you walk right into the sitting, reading, conversation, or welcome room. A large couch and two high back chairs occupy this room along with a corner nook full of books.
The Kitchen features a flat top stove, oven, and full size fridge with ice maker. Everything in the kitchen is BRAND NEW. We have supplied the basics with cooking utensils, pots and pans, glassware, barware, plates, silver-ware, coffee maker, coffee grinder, microwave, blender, mixing bowls, and food storage containers.
Bedroom #1 has a Queen Size bed, dresser, night stands, and an entertainment center with a flat screen TV with cable television. It is connected with the larger bathroom and walk-in closet.
The larger bathroom has two sinks in an antique cabinet, and a Jacuzzi Tub. This bathroom also features a beautifully hand painted, Tuscan themed wall.
Bedroom #2 has a King Size bed, dresser with mirror, night stands, and an entertainment center with a flat screen TV, DVD player, cable television, and surround sound in the room. It is connected to bathroom #2 with a bathtub and shower.
There are also speakers installed in the Dining Room and Living Room. The stereo controls for these are located in Bedroom #2.
The Dining Room features a large glass table with seating for 6, a beautiful buffet with a custom stone Globe on top. There is a crystal chandelier above the dining room table.
The first part of the living room has a brown leather sectional with a Queen Size sleeper pull out. Also has a big screen TV, cable TV, Xbox 360 with games, and a Nintendo Wii with games.
The main area of the living room has a full size couch, love seat, and two over-sized chairs staged in front of a gas fireplace. There is an antique piano right behind this arrangement. AND – a fan favorite – the Antique Bar with two bar stools. There’s always someone in the group who wants to be the bartender right?
Bicycists will be thrilled that it is a quick 5 minute ride the new Midland Bicycle Trail. This trail connects to America The Beautiful Park, downtown Colorado Springs, Old Colorado City, Manitou Springs and the Garden of the Gods Park. Trail is 3 blocks to the south.
Garden of the Gods Park is only 2.7 miles directly west on Colorado Ave. You can also find the Garden of the Gods Visitor Center and the Rock Ledge Ranch Historic Site. There are a LOT of hiking and biking trails in Garden of the Gods along with wonderful views and fantastic scenery.
Manitou Springs is 3.7 miles or ten minutes west. You will find the Pikes Peak Cog Railway Station and the trail head for the Barr Trail. Both will take you to the breathtaking top of 14,110 foot tall Pikes Peak, one on foot and the other in railway cars made in Switzerland. Manitou also offers great food, a classic arcade, dozens of delightful shops and restaurants and the world famous Cave of the Winds.
Downtown Colorado Springs is 2.7 miles to the east. It features Tejon Street, great shops, good restaurants, the Climbing Wall, Kimballs Movie Theater, The Fine Art Center, Colorado College, The Pioneers Museum and the home of the United States Olympic Headquarters. 15 miles to the north on I-25 is the United States Air Force Academy.
5.8 miles (15 minutes) to the south and you will find the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, the only mountain zoo in the world, the Five-Star Broadmoor Hotel and the famous Seven Falls and Cheyenne Canyon.
Drive three blocks to the south to Highway 24 and you will be on your way west to many more activities. Cave of the Winds will be on the north side of the highway along with The Cliff Dwellings. Further on you will find the entrance gate of the Pikes Peak Highway in Cascade, Colorado (closed in the winter) and also The North Pole amusement park – Santa awaits you. Further up the highway you will come into Woodland Park, Colorado, a great little mountain town and home of the soon to be new equestrian center and Pike National Forest. From there it is less than an hour to Cripple Creek where the history of gold mining in Colorado awaits you, along with many casinos, even more spectacular views, a train ride and family friendly donkeys. In between, in every direction, are miles and miles of hiking and biking trails.
