This lovely self-contained, self-catering cottage is quaint, cosy and located on the border of a walker's, cyclist and horse rider's paradise: The North Wessex Downs - an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We are 2 miles from the Famous Ridgeway National Trail, a track which has been used for over 5000 years. The route is 87 miles (140 km) long. Along the Ridgeway (and close to the cottage) are many walks, horse tracks and cycle routes. The trail passes near many Neolithic, Iron Age and Bronze Age sites including Barbury Castle, Lindington Castle, Uffington Castle, Avebury Stone Circle, Waylands Smithy, the Uffington White Horse
Your home away from home is situated in Childrey, an idyllic village clustered around a duck pond! The local village shop which sells all essentials and some absolutely amazing local produce is directly opposite, also providing lunch, coffee and cake if you're feeling naughty.

The Living Room
A wood burning stove with logs a'plenty sits in the corner of the living room, perfect for warming yourselves on a winters evening. Small but perfectly formed, the room also houses a comfy sofa bed which sleeps 2.
From the living room, you walk into the kitchenette to find everything you need to make your stay run smoothly.
Walk up the stairs from the kitchenette to the first floor to find the bedroom. Here you will find a double bed, ample storage and a electric wall heater.
The bathroom is opposite the bedroom on the first floor, comprising of bath, electric shower etc.
Situated in the gorgeous Oxfordshire countryside, this means you probably do need a car as it is a drive to get here!! There is plenty of off-street parking. As mentioned above, the cottage is close to the Cotswolds, Didcot train station, Wantage, the famous Ridgeway, Swindon, Oxford and much more.
