Charming little cottage in a peaceful and quiet area of Devon.
We had a fantastic time staying here. They tell you from the start that there is not WiFi so as long as you are Ok with that it’s perfect. Everything you need is provided and they even left us logs and firefighters for the fire with a few welcome bits and bobs. We loved every second and you can park easily. I would highly recommend.
Fantastic little getaway
Loved Toad Hall Cottage. From the moment we pulled into the drive we felt relaxed. You couldn't want for anything more. Warm, cosy, comfortable everything wrapped up in a quirky little cottage. No wifi was a bonus as we spent quality time talking, laughing, reading the many books and just chilling in front of the log burner. The map found in the basket was a godsend. It was fun navigating our way through the country roads. We visited many places and walked the coast line which was both rugged and beautiful. So much history to read about on the many information boards dotted around. The Forteque arms was a very warm and welcoming pub with great food. We even got invited to join in the quiz very funny. I would recommend this lovely cottage and maybe one day go back and stay again
Perfect cottage for two
Stayed three nights at the cottage making use of nearby Hope Cove. We took food and drink but everything else we needed was to hand. Most of our daytime was spent out so we only ate and slept in the cottage. Comy bed, snug wee cottage, warming fire and peace! No wifi but that suited us. The cottage is a great base for exploring the local area. Twenty minute drive to the coast and a lovely drive at that. Thanks to Jon and Nicole for their helpful communication.
Loved it was a lovely cosy cottage we both felt very comfortable, would highly recommend
Idyllic cottage - exactly what we wanted
Lovely and clean cottage with all the facilities we required. Great location within South Devon. Very cosy and quiet - perfect for a short holiday escape.
Peaceful cozy cottage
Quirky quiet retreat, well equipped with all you need. The ceiling is painted with a mural depicting birds and flowers. To the front of the cottage is a small enclosed seating area and a large communal garden shared between the few cottages is just 20 metres away in a beautiful orchard.
