You won't find a better location than this comfy fully furnished fully equipped 2 bedroom 1 bath apartment in an historic 4 family right in the Heart of Southampton Neighborhood (known locally as SOHA) in the lively Macklind Avenue District in beautiful South St. Louis city. You will notice the really cool brick and tile architecture of this 1920's building as you enter your unit through the beautiful wood and glass entry door into a nice secured front hallway. As you enter the living room, you will notice the local St. Louis and Route 66 decor that frames the double reclining sofa and double reclining love seat, 40" internet connected smart TV with Roku, Netflix, Hulu, and other services. FREE High speed wifi is also available. The fully appointed eat-in kitchen offers a table and seating for 4 people, gas stove, fridge, walk-in pantry, toaster oven, Kuerig 2.0 (and complementary K-cup starter pack), basic spices, and all of the basics. Regular and adult beverages including local microbrews and wines are available for a nominal charge. There is a nice sized bath with tub/shower combo, vanity, hair dryer, linens and even soap, shampoo and conditioner. There are two separate bedrooms (one with firm and the other with plush mattresses, full linens, etc), alarm clocks, ceiling fans, room darkening shade, nice artwork, luggage valets, hangers, and dresser w mirror. There are additional closets. Work station/desk with high speed wireless internet. Full and FREE laundry available to guests. FREE On and off street parking. FrEE Heat, AC, fans, extra blankets, iron with ironing board also provided. Secured front hallway. Access to the back yard plus some off-street parking. This space is beautiful and unique. We want this place to feel like home! This place is minute to Downtown, Forest Park, Washington University, St. Louis University, Barnes Hospital and so much more!

PPS We reserve the right to assign spaces within the same building, all of which are same square footage and have similar features. If we assign a different space, there is no additional cost to our guest (even if it is an upgrade).

FINAL NOTE...We meet our guests to make sure you get in and get settled. As part of that process, you will be required to complete a check in form upon arrival which acknowledges our "List of No's" and House Rules (copy provided en suite), as well as our no tolerance policy. You will also be acknowledging your consent to our use of certain security devices in public spaces. As part of that process, we will verify ID's of all guests over 18 years old. We will verify a valid credit card (need not be the same card as used in the booking). This is done in order for the safety of our guests and staff, and to ensure that the person(s) occupying a space are in fact the person(s) who are supposed to be in the space. This is process is no different than the process used by hotels to ensure the safety of their staff and guests,and preserve their property. I love this place. The architecture is classic and unique South City masonry on a tree lined street of beautiful homes. The location is right in the middle of everything. The neighborhood is vibrant and alive and diverse. I would live here in a heart beat (I don't but I live very close). This place called SOHA is special. This building is warm and inviting. This space is home.

One of our guests put it this way: "St Louis is an incredible surprise, an awesome old city full of great neighborhoods, and this space was a very nice place to come home too during our stay! It is beautifully presented and knit with love and passion."

What makes this apartment unique

This place is Classic St. Louis. Southampton (known locally as SOHA) is one of South St. Louis' neatest neighborhoods, and the Macklind Avenue District is a special district full of unique bars, restaurants, shops, and vendors, and it is alive and just out the front door. Here you can live a native St. Louisan, close to every tourist attraction that draws people to our great City, without living in the middle of the "hustle and bustle". There are dozens of parks within a short walk, bike, bus or car ride, including Forest Park, Carondelet Park and Tower Grove Park, all of which are among the best urban parks in the Country. You are close to all of the tourist sites like the Arch, St. Louis Cathedral, the Zoo, the Science Center and Anheuser-Busch. You are a quick ride to great universities like Washington University, St. Louis University, Webster University, Fontbonne and more. Almost every major event is within a 20 minute drive. I could write a book on the reasons why St. Louis is dubbed "America's Biggest Small Town", but I want you to experience it here...with us...in this place. I know you will enjoy all of what we have to offer!!

And we can provide a very comfortable queen air mattress for an additional $25 for the stay. MAX OCCUPANCY is 6 PERSONS. EXPANDED ACCOMMODATION: For stays of less than 14 days, we can accommodate up to 2 additional people, for a maximum of 6 persons for an . Alternative Accomodation: If you don't want to double up or if you have more than 4 persons, we can add rollaway beds, air mattresses, cribs, etc. for a nominal extra charge. LARGER GROUPS: If you need additional space to accommodate more than the 4-6 described above, we have an additional unit at this same location that can connect with this unit, and can be rented to accommodate up to 4-6 additional people.

Very clean and tidy. Everything you need is here. Excellent location. In a nice neighborhood, yet 10 minutes from downtown. Very quiet.

Comfortable home & conscientious caretakers

We agree with previous reviewers – the apartment is even lovelier than the photos suggest. It has been carefully decorated to make it a very pleasant place to stay, and we had pretty much everything we needed in the kitchen. The window AC units and fans kept it comfortable even in the July heat of St. Louis. Location is great, with lots of charm and interesting restaurants/businesses in walking distance; easy also to get to other spots in the city. Two off-street parking spots in the back, although we didn't use them on the weekend when other units in the apartment building were occupied. We always found a street parking spot on the same block as the building. (Also, Bryan kindly met my brother to let him in and give him the tour when he arrived later in the week at a time when I couldn't get back to the apartment.)

Darling city apartment with beautiful decor

This property is our family’s St. Louis FAVORITE! This is our second visit here. Love the furniture and decor, and the SoHa Macklind neighborhood is the best. Just remember that brick city buildings use window AC units, not central air, so if you have young guests not used to it, give them a heads up! Beautiful wood floors and backyard garden too.

Wonderful stay!

We stayed here last July and promised to be back. This week’s visit was great. The property is cozy and has many dining options in walking distance. Saint Louis attractions are all close. And, Bryan is awesome! It’s almost like he’s family because he cares so much about guests. We will be back!

We want you to be enjoy your stay, so we have a few simple GOLDEN RULES:
1) Enjoy your stay, tell us what we can do to make your current stay nicer & tell everyone about our comfy VRBO and our great city.
2) Take care of the place during your stay. Clean up after yourself. Take the trash out. Don't smoke.
3) Don't bother the neighbors & guests. If you can be heard outside of your space, you are too loud. No parties. No loud music. Be respectful.
4) Do nothing illegal. St. Louis PD has free housing for people who break laws!!

If you can do those 4 Golden Rules, we will get along great, but just in case, there are a few common sense rules posted in your space. And if you have questions, contact us through VRBO anytime.

A couple more details:
1) This is housing intended for travelers who are visiting St. Louis, so your legal address should be more than 40 miles away.
2) No pets, unless you have a documented assistance animal.
3) Standard accommodations are 2 queen beds (one firm & one plush), so we can easily accommodate 4 people in this space if you "double up". If you don't want to "double up", we can usually add air mattress, roll aways & cribs for a nominal charge.
4) Standard rates are for 2 people with a $25 per person per night charge for each additional person. If you have more than 4 people, contact us through VRBO to discuss options.
5) Know that we have additional VRBO spaces at this location and very nearby. If available, you may be able to book two or more adjoining units. We also know other VRBO hosts with potentially available spaces. If you have a larger event with more people than 4 people (for example, weddings, funerals or graduations), let us know through VRBO & we will do what we can to help you secure accommodations.
6) For the security of our staff & guests, we will verify ID's & a credit card & you will complete a checkin form at arrival. This is a basic protocol similar to hotels.
