A fabulous holiday cottage near the city.
From initial booking onward, I have to say, I have never experienced such fantastic, professional service from Ben, the owner and everyone else at Idyllic Prague. On arrival we were welcomed by Tomas and Tereza who showed us around and explained how things worked. They were amazing during our stay, nothing was too much trouble and they were contactable if we needed them. The cottage was really clean and we were left a welcome package which was very helpful. We found Cherry Tree Cottage beautifully positioned to enjoy all aspects of Prague. Just 20 mins away on a short bus and metro ride was the hustle and bustle of Prague City and then we could return to the peaceful surroundings of the cottage, where we enjoyed walks and cycle rides, mostly to the local pubs I must admit! The pubs were all good, especially the Pivobar Unetice and people were very welcoming even though our Czech is limited to `hello``goodbye`and `thank you`. I seriously recommend having a catered meal at the cottage, it was amazing. It was beautifully presented by the chef and tasted wonderful. I would definitely recommend to everyone, we had a wonderful stay and lots of lovely memories.
Sympathetic&family friendly,great customer service
We stayed with the family (7 adults, 3 kids aged 1,5 &10) over Easter. The house has a cosy atmosphere and was well maintained. The surroundings are great with a big playground straight down the road and good for walks or cycling (lots of pedestrians & cyclist on the way). Every time we went for a stroll we ended up in some cosy place with good food & relaxed atmosphere (sorry, can't recall any names). Also the distance to downtown Prague is good, we always went by car which was about 20 minutes but there should be good public transport options as well.
We were lucky with the weather in April so the kids have used the garden a lot as well and we even made a little Easter fire at night.
After our stay I found out we'd forgotten 3 books in the house. I got in touch with the owner, who happily searched them and send them to us in Germany.
Altogether it was a very enjoyable stay that I'd definitely recommend, we ourselves will probably be back next Easter.
It was very nice and the Manager was very helpful
At first I must say, that the holidays were just amazing and we had a lot of fun at the cottage, which was very clean. Besides I can't say it often enough how helpful and nice the Manager of this holiday was, he asked so many times if everything is okay and if we got any problems we should immediately tell him, so he can help us. All in all it has been a great vacation, and we are looking forward to making holidays there again!
Fun with friends
Apartment was perfect for five friends with plenty of space to stretch out and well located to see the city with a bus stop nearby. The wi-fi coped with all our devices and the washing machine was an additional convenience as we got quite muddy on a walk one afternoon! Already looking forward to our return visit!
We stayed in both cottages of this owner in Cerny Vul nearby Prague with a group of 30 friends and we had a really nice time. Our bed room was well-maintained and had a lovely balcony. The owner was really nice to us and bought us bus tickets to be able to reach Prague and get our CZK's there. The bath rooms in our cottage were really nice and had proper showers.
However, the dishes were not very clean when we arrived. At the end of the week we got some problems with a neighbor who was yelling at us in czech, which we could not understand, but luckily other neighbors helped us and explained that the man was a little crazy.
From the cottage it was easy to reach Prague and we also went to a nice pool which was a 15 minutes drive and we visited Terezín by car.
Relaxing and fun
A cozy house, close to the bus into tje city centre and the most beautiful forrest in full autumnal splendor!
We are delighted that you enjoyed a great holiday! We hope that you can come back to IdyllicPrague very soon!
The Idyllic Prague Cottages are situated 20 minutes NW of Prague City and 15 minutes NE of Prague Airport in a village called Cerny Vul. ('Cerny Vul' means 'black bullock' which refers to Neolithic ceramics found here) Cerny Vul is not yet big enough to be officially classed as a village, but it has a delightful relaxed atmosphere and three pub restaurants. Two government ministers have chosen Cerny Vul cottages as their holiday home hideaways. Although cars and taxis can access the Cottage, the house is situated by a Cherry Orchard off Cycle Track 8100. Cycle Track 8100 follows streams and fish lakes through the forest of 'Tichy Udoli' (Silent Valley) National Park to an intriguing rope ferry built to take cyclists and ramblers across the river Vltava and hence on to further countryside or Prague City. In the opposite direction the cycle track leads to the fairytale Ukor Castle. For more details contact us for our own website or else see Holiday-Rental properties 53848 and 82658. Other Activities: cycling, diving, fishing, horse riding, mountain biking, swimming, tennis, walking, Exploring Prague city. Rambling in forest and country side.
