Hostess with the Mostess
Isabel made this a wonderful stay. She met us personally at the property, left refreshments to welcome us and had made a book of suggestions of where to go to eat, shop, how to get around the city, etc. it was a wonderful intro to Portugal!
Accommodations were wonderful. Made us feel like locals in such an authentic Portuguese neighborhood. Loved the Port and cheese upon arrival. Isabel is a perfect hostess.
Great place, great hosts!
We had a wonderful stay in Lisbon, thanks to Isabel and Alice. Isabel welcomed us in person, and left us port and pastries--a welcome treat after a long drive from the Algarve. The apartment is spacious and beautiful, with an absolutely stunning view of the entire city. Communication was easy and both hosts responded promptly to all of our questions. The neighborhood is, like all of Lisbon, easily walkable but hilly. There is a steep drop to the nearest metro stop, Intendente, about 15 minutes walk. The famous Tram 28 and buses are very close by. We highly recommend this lovely apartment and these warm and generous hosts!
Wonderful apartment with amazing views of the city. Isabel was very accommodating to our needs and checked in with us several times to ensure we had everything we needed. We will stay in her lovely apartment again when we return to this lovely city.
Lovely apartment very central
Warm welcome @ the apartment followed by 3 days of sunshine in Lisbon! Wonderful view over the city from the living room! Thank you for our home away from home...
Excellent apt for two couples
Isabel’s apt on Rua Feio Teneras was clean and very well equipped, including marvelous information about Lisbon. Isabel greeted us and gave us great tips for our visit. We recommend the place highly.
Not to be missed, walking and very close: viewpoint of Sra do Monte, Church of Grace, Church of S. Vicente de Fora, Campo de Sta Clara- Feira da Ladra, National Pantheon- Sta Engrácia, Portas do Sol, Belvedere of Sta Luzia, Castelo de S. Jorge, Sé, Teatro Romano, Alfama.
Tile Museum and Mother Church of God, a "must", not seen in another capital of Europe. Easy access by taxi, not far.
Tram 28, 5 minutes from home, go towards Baixa and Chiado, stop and visit another "jewel" of our heritage, Church of S. Roque and museum, visit Fernando Pessoa in the Brazilian. Get off to Rossio, take a little ginginha in Largo de S. Sundays and visit the church. Walk a little further and visit Mouraria, take tram 28 again in Martim Moniz to Sapadores and return home.
