About The Owner

I'm a wife to a loving husband (we make 9 years in April), a mom to 2 toddlers, and I love home remodeling. I enjoy anything to do with design, and unique things (anything from shoes to a decorated space). I've talked my husband into watching my favorite shows the Bachelor and Project runway which has turned into a whole event at my house. We love Scandal and House of Cards. I manage properties and now have decided to do Airbnb with one. I am very excited because I get to design several spaces. Reviews mean everything to me when I shop and when I do just about anything. I pay attention to the details and am excited to be readily available and provide a clean beautiful home for our guests=)

Lucy was an amazing friendly host. She was able to accommodate all our needs and responded quickly to all our questions. We had a group of 12 girls and we felt safe in the house the house the whole time. Everyone in New Orleans was very friendly. We played music in the house and had no complaints from any neighbors. The house also had all the amenities we needed (a/c, enough beds, towels, linens, etc.). Would recommend staying at Lucy's place anytime.

Not what we expected

  • 2 of 5

I will first start off by saying that Mrs. Lucy was very welcoming and easily accessible when we needed things. Due to the heat, Mrs Lucy was nice enough to have multiple fans available and even went and bought a new AC unit for the house! It worked awesome! We visited NOLA for Essence Fest 2017. The house is very spacious and great for large groups. Unfortunately there were some downsides to the house that we were not expecting. We were very shocked by the neighborhood of the house. Although it is in close proximity to anything you may need (downtown, convention center, French Quarter, and Bourbon Street) the neighborhood is very "run down". It is located in the Hollygrove area. The house does have an alarm system that we were sure to use both when leaving and while in the house. There was an old Popeyes box (from previous tenants) left in the microwave. The bed spreads were dingy. Upon going to sleep the first night, we found a dead roach in the sheets of one of the beds. The ceiling in one of the bathrooms began to leak as we were there and there's a strange weed that is growing from the window of the bathroom into the shower. On the 4th of July, one of the neighbors decided that it would be funny to throw fireworks at our car as we drove by. We were not satisfied with our stay, especially for the price we paid for the house.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your thorough review. It's reviews like these that help us learn and get better. I've been in talks with my team and we're making necessary adjustments. Our goal is for all our guests to have a great stay at the best price in a clean house. We are always for accommodating our guests' needs and are thankful when guests give us a chance to correct a problem that may arise. In this case we were able to make some things on your list, right and other ones, we didn't even know about to address them. We hope that you'll give us another chance to redeem ourselves whenever you come back to NOLA. Sincerely, Lucy

Convenient and Comfortable

  • 5 of 5

This home was just as pictured. 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, and 5 beds. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. The whole feel of the house was welcoming and intimate. We had a group of 9 ladies for a Bachelorette Party. We had plenty of space in this home. Although I didn't get to meet the owner personally due to our late arrival time but, she was always easy to reach. Prompt replies and left clean towels and a few snacks for us. The neighbors were friendly and we didn't have any problems. All the ladies were happy with the home. We came in 2 vehicles and it was just enough parking for those 2. We were 15 minutes from Bourbon St. So we chose to drive to all of our destinations. Occasionally all piling in one car to save on parking fees. I'd definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Great place to stay!!!

  • 5 of 5

The house was amazing, so much space, everything was so clean and neat. The host Lucy and her husband were so helpful and friendly. She thought about everything that you may need; toiletries, snacks and water bottles next to each bed. They really made us feel right at home. French Quarters and Frenchman street were just a $15 to $20 cab ride cheaper then renting a car.

Lucy thank you for making our first time in New Orleans amazing.
