About Jonathan Birnbaum
My wife, four kids and I live 40 min from the ranch in the small town of Clayton. We have enjoyed the ranch as a family retreat for years, and figured it was time to share a little with others!
Jonathan Birnbaum purchased this Cabin in 2006
Why Jonathan Birnbaum chose Hunters
We fell in love with the area when we first moved to Spokane in 2004, and this ranch has all the myriad habitats and biomes that make Eastern Washington so unique and enjoyable.
What makes this Cabin unique
The cabins are located at the fork of the N. Hunters and Moose creeks in the heart of our property, Black Horse Ranch. It's named for Black Horse Canyon that runs through the middle, and it provides incredible rock formations and views. You'll feel like your miles in the wilderness with all the comforts of home, but it's only a 15 min drive to Hunters where you can stock up and enjoy lake Roosevelt.

Fun trip
Cool property. Had fun chasing deer and turkeys around.
There should be a way to add more stars!.
Seamless joy.
Absolute pleasure to host you and your family Al, looking forward to the visit!
Amazing cabin in beautiful and secluded location!
We stayed for the 4th of July weekend with some family and had a great time. The cabins are very clean and have almost everything you need. The best part is the location. You feel like you are alone in the middle of nowhere with mountain views in all directions.
The owner is very friendly, responsive and answered all the questions I had leading up to our stay. He provided detailed directions to get to the cabins and said to contact him if there were any issues, which there were not.
The road in is also very well maintained and with the cabin being at some what of a dead end, you will go your whole stay without seeing another person!
Highly recommend!
Great location, nice cabin
The cabin was well equipped and everything was fine. Jonathan and his father were both very nice and we would stay again. It was a bit difficult for this 250 pound guy to shimmy up into the loft, and temperature control was a bit difficult, but we'll still be back ;-)
The land is amazing and the roads are very well done. The off grid nature of their power and services are pretty awesome, too. All in all, a very fun time.
Great family/hunting getaway in the woods!
Very secluded location close to a quaint town. A ton of exploration to be had at this remote spot. Even though you are in the middle of nowhere, the cabins are very modern and have all the amenities. Even cell service and wifi! Great spot for families that want to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life and "rough it" for a change. Great spot to put the iPads and iPhones down and connect with nature. My favorite time was sitting on the back patio and listening to the fresh spring water creek at night while stargazing with zero light pollution! We saw a ton of wildlife while we were hunting for bucks! Great setup for hunters of all ages and a ton of land to traverse!
Beautiful place to relax!!
This property was such a gem. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery. My hubby got to catch trout in the pond. The cabin itself was beautiful, clean and more than we expected! This is a perfect place if you want to get away from it all and really connect with your loved ones.
Thanks Jamie! It was awesome to host you two! Hope to host you again!
