Why Beatriz Castaneda chose Newbold

We love this property for its convenience to public transportation, restaurants, and just being able to walk every where!. It is also very comfortable for our family and we hope it is for you as well. We visit Philadelphia so often that we decided to have a permanent place. We enjoy going to concerts, play tennis, rock climbing (indoors), and so much more.

What makes this townhome unique

The rooftop makes this home even more special, just having that space and sky all to us, it is so unique! Its orientation and high ceiling allows for tons of natural light. The hardwood floor through out its a plus!

Clean and comfortable

  • 5 of 5

This property was clean and comfortable. Our family of five fit well in this townhouse for our visit to the city. While we were not able to park on the actual street of the property, we were able to find street parking within a few blocks each evening. The owner promptly replied to my questions via text and email. Would definitely recommend this property.

Great Stay

  • 5 of 5

Like all the reviews say, parking was tough bc the street is NARROW, but its doable. The house is lovely and very comfortable, all the stuff you could possibly need is available. 2 minute walk to the subway and the city is very accessible.

Very nice house

  • 5 of 5

We had six people at the house for the Army Navy game. It was a very nice house and had all the amenities you could need. We used Uber to go to restaurants and stadium, so that was very convenient. We also had food delivered from local places. The street is narrow but we found parking close. We enjoyed our visit and would stay there again to enjoy Philadelphia. Beatriz was great and let us check in early, and the booklet with suggested restaurants, etc. was very helpful.

Perfect house for our long weekend!

  • 5 of 5

As advertised, the house is new, very clean and nicely furnished. I traveled to Philly for a long weekend with girlfriends for the Philadelphia Marathon. The house was spacious and everything you needed was there! The location was walkable to the city and the street was very quiet. Beatriz was very kind and responsive. She allowed us an early check-in, which was great. Highly recommended place to stay in Philly!

It was OK

  • 3 of 5

Place is large and clean. Looks recently refurbished. Area is working class. Very quiet. Never felt unsafe. Not much in the immediate area, but you can walk a mile or so. We also walked back from the football stadium although that was a few miles. Parking is very scarce so don't bring a car. There are window coverings, but they are worthless so bring a mask if you need darkness for sleep.

According to Lonely Planet: “ Philadelphia is the #1 city to visit in the US in 2016. Visited by Pope Francis, hosting the Democratic National Convention in July 2016, and freshly crowned as the US’s first and only World Heritage City (joining the ranks of Cairo, Paris and Jerusalem), Philly’s on a roll. Craft breweries? Check. Hot new “locavore” restaurants? Big check. But Philadelphia is steadfastly managing to retain its historic roots and gritty flavor, as well as its affordability – a pleasant surprise for a city so cosmopolitan and accessible. Hands up to the sky, Rocky fans: celebrate the film’s 40th anniversary in 2016 with a sprint up the 72 steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.”

Philadelphia is a bustling city overflowing with activity, history, and culture. The 'City of Brotherly Love' is a city where many come to learn about the history of America's roots by touring Independence Hall, viewing the Liberty Bell, and visiting the house where Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence. What many visitors forget is that Philadelphia's history was written not just in a house that stood at Seventh and Market streets, but also in the neighborhoods where Philadelphians still live today.
