Why Cindy and Gene chose Isle of Palms
The sweeping marsh views will take your breath away! Enjoy the peace and tranquility of porch rockers, dense pines and palm trees, deer, marsh birds and quiet -- all within a short walk or bike ride of all that Wild Dunes has to offer -- beach, golf, tennis, swimming, etc. Prepare fresh, local seafood in our fully equipped kitchen, or venture out into Charleston, Mount Pleasant or Sullivan's Island for dinner at one of the many amazing restaurants.
What makes this House unique
14 rocking chairs, 4 bicycles, 2 comfy window seats, 2,900 sq. ft. open floor plan, elevator, 90-inch Epson front projection HDTV. Also, hardwood floors and custom cabinets throughout. Granite in kitchen and baths. Cathedral ceilings in loft and master bedroom. Fully-equipped kitchen with two ovens, Sub-Zero refrigerator, recipe books, etc. Screen porch with four rockers and sofa. Covered porch with four rockers and dining for for six. Living room with large sofa and four swivel rockers, ideal for viewing marsh or 90-inch front projection HDTV. Laundry room with washer and dryer. Sports Card for access to Wild Dunes fitness, golf, swimming and tennis facilities (though you pay activity fees). One of the most outstanding features of this home is the architecture. Designed by Peter Bohlin, recipient of the 2010 American Institute of Architects Gold Medal and designer of the Apple Store on Fifth Avenue in NYC, it feels spacious and expansive with dramatic angles, striking architectural features -- and huge windows that make you feel as though your are in the midst of nature, not looking out at it. Photos and words don't do it justice -- you just have to experience it!

Wish We Could Stay Longer
My family and I stayed at this property while in town for our Dad's celebration of life. It was great to all stay together and Wild Dunes is such a peaceful community which is just what we needed. There was plenty of room for us to spread out and it was easy access to Sullivan's Island which is where all of our activities took place. Our only wish for our stay here was that it could have been longer. Thank you Gene and Cindy for the hospitality and sharing your amazing home.
Here is the very best of Wild Dunes!
Thank you for sharing your home with us!
We love the quite location with the most gorgeous views of the marsh! Took the bikes to the ‘private beach’ which had some pretty good shelling happening.
Enjoyed all highend appliances in the kitchen!
Did NOT want to leave!
Stayed 5 nights and loved the house, the area, and have NO criticisms. Don't know how it could have been any better.
Great house and the owners were very helpful
Beautiful Property & Great Location
Every year our family stays in Charleston for the Thanksgiving Holiday. We always try to stay in a different location in the Charleston area. This year, we saw this beautiful home and immediately wanted to stay there. It did not disappoint. The house has a great location in Wild Dunes, right on the marsh. It was amazing to wake up to the marsh views every morning. There are just a ton of windows that allow you to soak up all of the beautiful sunlight and views. The house is beautifully kept. We had a few issues, but they were immediately addressed by Gene & Cindy. This is one property that we would consider returning to again next year.
Exceptional location and home with responsive and thoughtful owners. Would highly recommend.
