Completely custom modern "green" home, architecturally designed with elegant fixtures and finishes.

OUTSTANDING LOCATION: 2 blocks from Beall Park, which I think is Bozeman's best neighborhood. Walk or ride not only to downtown (shops, bars, restaurants, grocery) but also to the NE neighborhood (amazing bakery, great new coffee shop, brewery), the fairgrounds (farmers market) or the Cannery District (brekkie/lunch spot, pizza, brewery, distillery, kombucha bar, more). The absolute best of in-town living in Bozeman.

MAIN LIVING: on the 2nd floor -- lets you live downtown but still above the street and neighboring houses. Mountain views, especially during winter, when the leaves are off the deciduous trees.

KITCHEN: open to the dining and living areas; extra large gas cooktop; custom spice rack.

MASTER: bedroom - king bed; 2 closets. Master bath -- 2 shower heads with separate controls and custom glass tile; toilet in area separated by pocket door.

2ND BEDROOM -- on the ground floor with a king bed; bathroom adjacent with luxurious shower and custom everything.

SLEEPING LOFT: accessed via a pivoting staircase (national award-winning small project!); double bed, twin bed, upholstered chair, and dresser. A very cozy space.

3 BALCONIES: off the kitchen, south-facing, and with a propane grill; off the living room, north-facing; and off the master bedroom, south-facing.

BONUS for CYCLISTS or SKIERS: I'm a cyclist (road, gravel & mountain biking) and a skier (most often Nordic but also alpine and backcountry). I have lots of info for your cycling or skiing adventures and work stands and tools that you could use.

I moved to Bozeman in 2001 just by good luck. I absolutely love Montana, Bozeman, Downtown Bozeman, and all the opportunities for outdoor adventure that abound here. Great people, too. No wonder -- so many of us moved here for the great quality of life, and we're happy!

Why Jason chose Yellowstone Country

The good fortune continued and resulted in the Apple Treehouse being built in 2007 on a new lot that was created from the side yard of the house that I bought when I moved here (and where I still live). It was the first of my smart infill projects and is "green" in many respects (an infill project, small lot, small footprint, well insulated, solar hot water, solar electricity, green materials used throughout).

Across the alley from the Apple Treehouse, I bought my neighbor's place in 2013 and have created two new small lots for quality infill, as well as fully restoring the historic brick house that was on it. The restoration project received a Historic Preservation Award from the City of Bozeman. Apple Treehouse version 2.0 is set to be built across the alley, starting in the spring of 2016.

  • If 6 guests were couples or kids sharing a bed, you can sleep 7 in beds (with 2 people/kids sharing a double bed in the same room as a twin bed). The master bedroom (king bed) is on the 2nd floor, with the rest of the main living of this house. The second bedroom (king bed) is downstairs and is very private. Aside from the entry area to the house, the only things on the ground floor (besides the garage and mechanical room) are the 2nd bedroom and its bathroom.

Notes:
Even though this house was new to VRBO in 2016, it was a vacation rental house since 2007, managed by a local management company. It received universally excellent reviews. Guests have really enjoyed this unique, interesting home and this fantastic location. I am knowledgeable about biking and skiing and whitewater. I can put you in touch with fly fishing resources. Also a wealth of local info.

A wonderful light filled home with great amenities.

This home was just perfect for my husband and I while we stayed in Bozeman visiting our daughter and new grandson. The kitchen was well equipped for all the cooking I did , and a great selection of coffee pots. We had a great location to town and to our daughters home. Just a perfect experience. Thank you

Charming house with good location

This property is well-done with creative architecture and attention to detail. Location couldn't be beat either as it is within walking distance from Main St where there is a lot to see, do, eat and drink. The only reason I cannot give it 5 stars is that it does not have A/C which made the loft sleeping less than ideal a couple of the nights. You can open the windows to get a cool breeze but then you'll here the train throughout the night. Sleeping in the two bedrooms below the loft were comfortable though. Apparently it is quite common to not have A/C in Bozeman.

Great family space for Bozeman area!

Our family of 5 (2 adults, and 3 kids, ages 10,14,16) stayed first week in July. House was clean, and well stocked for cooking, and many bonuses a lot of rentals do not have. We enjoyed the loft for our 2 teens, and privacy for my husband and I. Loved the ability to play our music, and walk to most restaurants and shopping. Jason gave excellent communication start to finish, and even found a tubing company on the fly while we were on our way to check in, and we had one less thing to do. All of his recommendations were great for dining and grocery shopping. Check out was easy, and we would definitely stay here or any of his properties in the future.

Unique, wonderful downtown home

We were looking for a downtown Bozeman home for our family trip and this property was perfect. We had our hiking, Yellowstone adventures and then were able to return to the Green home and walk to restaurants and bars which was our plan. No detail was missed in this home. Wonderful owner. The $100 initial payment is a NON-REFUNDABLE reservation hold fee.
The remainder of the rental amount is due 45 days before the start of the booking, and that part is refundable for cancellations made more than 30 days before the start of the booking. For cancellations made closer than 30 days to the start of the booking, refunds will be given only to the extent that the house replacement bookings are obtained using my normal efforts.
Rates are subject to change until reservations are confirmed.
The reason for the cleaning fee is to allow shorter bookings and a lower per-night charge. Every guest stay, regardless of length, requires the house to be cleaned. I pay the cleaners a living wage. If you use only 1 bed/bedroom, I'll refund $50 of the cleaning fee. If you use only 2 beds/bedrooms, I'll refund $25.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

100% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
