6 Riverfalls is a three bedroom house in a quiet residential area just a few minutes walk from the lively Clifden town centre. The house features three bedrooms - 2 x double, 1 single.
Bedroom one has a king size bed and an en-suite with shower. It has a private balcony overlooking the front of the house that gets the sun in the morning and there is a table and two chairs to enjoy an al fresco breakfast or a glass of wine in the evening.
Bedroom two has a double bed and built in wardrobes. It has a dressing table and overlooks the terrace.
Bedroom three has a single bed and a wardrobe. Although we only advertise for 5 guests there is a substantial single fold up bed available in this room on request.
Also on the first floor there is a family bathroom with shower.
Downstairs there is a spacious kitchen with an oven, hob, a dishwasher, fridge freezer and a microwave. The dining area has a large dining table that seats 6 people. We have provided a selection of basics for the use of our guests.
The spacious living room has a leather 3 seat sofa and chair, and an additional two seat sofa. There is a TV with built in DVD and access to a wide range of free to air satellite channels and Irish freeview channels and a hi fi. A basic Wi Fi service is available that is fine for browsing / emails / social media but is not unlimited and not designed for large amounts of downloading or streaming movies.
There are sliding doors opening onto a terrace overlooking a stream to the rear of the property. There is a table and four chairs on the terrace and a small bench for sitting. There are further two fold up chairs by the washing machine if further seating is required. This is a nice place for a family meal or perhaps for sitting with a glass of wine listening to the stream. The stream is not accessible from the property.
There is also a washing machine in the downstairs utility room and there is a downstairs cloakroom. There is a travel cot and high chair available on request.
There is off-street parking for one car and a second can be parked on the road.
The property is ideally sited to take full advantage of the amenities on offer in Clifden without the night time noise usually associated with being near a busy town centre. The location is ideal for exploring the wild and beautiful Connemara and further afield. To the south is Roundstone and some of the most beautiful beaches in Ireland and further on are Oughterard and Galway. To the north is Connemara National Park , the fjord at Leenane and Westport to name but a few places. The area is ideal for outdoor pursuits with walking, cycling, fishing, golf, horse riding and shooting just some of the activities available locally.
