Relaxing and Pretty
Lovely and comfortable home with a huge yard. It's completely private and in a nice neighborhood that is good for walking or jogging. It's one of those places that takes the stress away and recharges the battery. The kids and adults all really enjoyed it. If you want to decompress and catch up with old friends, this is a good place for it. The little towns in the area offer some antiques and some delicious seafood. We originally thought that we might take a day trip to Virginia Beach, but it turns out that it's two hours away. Didn't really miss it, though. On a side note, the home was also furnished with a lot of great books, including an early copy of Watership Down, for example, and a complete set of the OED. This made us happy.
Beautiful property on the bay
Had an amazing time here with a group of eight other friends. Enough bedrooms for our crew, and a lot of common spaces. Felt very secluded, and we loved it. We floated around on tubes from the dock, played frisbee on the massive field in the backyard, and watched a storm come in from the shore. Kilmarnock is about a 10 minute drive and had everything we needed for groceries or a night out. Bart was super helpful and responsive. Highly recommended!
Wonderfully private, picture - perfect property!
We had a great time! The layout of the house was just right for us. All the amenities were more than adequate. We wanted to stay forever. Communication from both Homeaway and the owner was top notch, friendly and thorough. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
A most perfect river experience. The lawn to dividing creek is worthy of a movie setting and the ambiance of the farmhouse reflects everything that is so perfect about the northern neck.
Amazing property view
The house was perfect for my whole family (there were 10 of us) there was lots of room for us. my kids loved all the room to run around outside. Close to town. Kilmarnock is a very nice town lots of shops, nice grocery store, nice wealth food store and shops and everything was easy to get to from the house. Would stay again!
Perfect place for our family reunion!
Bart was gracious enough to let us have a family reunion at his home. Everyone loved it. There was canoeing, kayaking, floats in the creek, kids fishing and crabbing from the piers, croquet, other yard games, visiting on the porch and sitting under the shade trees. We loved being at a farmhouse on the water!
