Appartement de l’Artiste is a renovated 19th century one-bedroom apartment, located on the second floor above an art gallery in the medieval village of Collobrières., close to the Mediterranean.

Floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room and bedroom fill the apartment with light and overlook the main street of the village, with a panoramic view of the surrounding Maures mountain range.

Recently renovated and redecorated, the apartment consists of a large bedroom with a double bed, a spacious living room, a small dining room, an eat-in kitchen, and a bathroom with a combined bathtub and shower. The kitchen includes a refrigerator, an electric stovetop, a microwave, and a washing machine.

In the elegant living room, a pair of armchairs and a sofa give plenty of room to relax, with a stereo and a television for entertainment. The décor includes original works by the owner, a professional artist. There is a choice of restaurants, bars, and shops within a short walk.

We bought our home in 1999 and moved to Collobrieres upon retirement from Florida. We love to share our experiences with our renters and tell them about this remarkable village. This is an authentic French working village. The majority of residents live here year round. You can happily exist here without leaving the village.

Why Frank Wirges, Bruce Lashley chose Collobrières

Our apartment is in the main part of the village 17 - 18 century architecture. The older sections of the village date to the 14 - 16 century. The old bridge is 12th century as is the old church ruin. Although the village is only a 40 minute drive to the Grand Var (mall and shopping area in La Valette the village is a fully sustainable village with seven restaurants, two grocery stores, a butcher shop, two hair salons, a florist/hardware store and three bars.

What makes this apartment unique

Collobrières is a typical Provençal village located in the middle of Provence and the Cote Azur, half way between Nice and Marseilles and north of St. Tropez. All the sights of southern France are within a 1 1/2 hour drive. The village itself is a real working village where the majority of the inhabitants live and work. Inhabitants are friendly and willing to help in any situation. Festivals include: The running of the bulls/ July, The festival of the fountain/ August and the chestnut festival/ October.
