About the property

Spacious Cabin / Forest Scenery /Central Location/4 BR's /

Please note that this Cabin was recently re-listed under a new number. Please review the previous Reviews that are posted after the description.

This lovely Cabin is definitely a crowd pleaser. It sits on a beautiful wooded lot. Although it feels secluded, it is actually very central to most Flagstaff sights and attractions.

The spacious home will comfortably accommodate a sizable family. The large living areas include two family rooms and two dining tables. The ambiance is reminiscent of a "ski lodge." You will absolutely love the vaulted wood ceilings fashioned with tongue and groove craftsmanship. There will be no problem staying warm and cozy with the lovely fireplace. It allows the perfect opportunity to kick back and relax. You can entertain yourself with the collection of books or make it a family affair with board games and movies.

If you want to breathe in some fresh air, step outside and enjoy the breeze from the Pine Trees while lounging on the deck. You may want to utilize the barbecue grill and dine outdoors. if it starts getting cool, there is a fire pit in the back yard. It is perfect for keeping warm or for toasting marshmallows. Please note that there is also neighborhood access to hiking trails.

This Cabin has four bedrooms, that comfortably sleeps 8-10 people. There are two and a half baths.

The entire home is conveniently located on a single level. There are no flights of stairs to climb during your stay.

You will want to plan adequate time for this vacation, as there are so many memorable sights and attractions to take in.

Grand Canyon - approximately 1.5 hours away

Arizona Snow Bowl - 30 minutes

Historic Downtown Flagstaff - 15 minutes

NAU University - 15 minutes

Sedona - an hour

Bearizona Wildlife Park - 30-40 minutes

Pets are considered, however we asked that you keep "4 on the floor" as we say in our house. Pets are not allowed on furniture or bedding. Also, please pick up after them outside. We usually allow one small to medium size dog. No vicious breeds. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

Cabin feel for a large family! (4 Stars)

Love the woodsy feeling and the basement for kids to play. Great size and comfortable stay. Inside was clean and roomy... Chocolates on the pillow was a really nice touch.

Multi-family getaway (5 Stars)

This cabin was absolutely perfect! We stayed with another family and everyone had plenty of room! It was cozy and had all the amenities of home. We visited Wing Mountain to do some sledding, which was only a 15-20 min drive away, and found some sleds that the owner had left for us to use! The beds were super comfy and everyone slept great! I will definitely be staying here again!!

Cabin for Multi-families (4 Stars)

We drove to Flagstaff from California and met up with families from Phoenix. This was the perfect place because of the price, the large living areas with plenty of rooms and bathrooms for multi-families to gather and feel at home. We were greeted with fresh, clean sheets in all of the beds and Smart TV in one living room to hang out for a movie night. The kitchen appliances are old but they still worked well amd saved us a lot of money being able to cook our own meals. The surrounding woods helped create a wilderness feel and a nearby trail to walk off a big meal. While having a morning walk with my dogs I spotted a herd of elk crossing the open fields behind the house. This was a priceless moment I will never forget. Aside from the it was Easter weekend so our hunt for eggs in the front of the house was perfect with all of the rocks, trees and other perfect hiding spots. The kids had a blast exploring and finding beetles under tree trunks and rocks. It felt like we were in the middle of wilderness but minutes from amenities like grocery stores and Flagstaff Mall. Overall our stay was a great one and will definitely recommend this cabin to friends.

Great Weekend Getaway (5 Stars)

We recently stayed at the Rain Valley Cabin for the Martin Luther King Holiday. There were 9 of us. Three couples and three children. With 4 bedrooms, living, family and dining rooms, we had ample room for everyone. No one felt crowded. We loved using the Fireplace at night and the big dining room table for meals. Everything needed for cooking our meals was there. Two of the bedrooms have electric fireplaces which were really nice to use when going to bed. We were close to the town of Flagstaff to go to stores or restaurants and we found two great local places to go sledding. Everyone had a really nice time.

Fantastic place (5 Stars)

Our family of five adults stayed here over Christmas. It was one of the best places we have stayed and everyone could spread out. Large enough for a puzzle on one table and family meals at the other. Kitchen has any utensil. You need. Beds were comfortable. Hiking trails nearby.

Cute and cozy! (5 Stars)

I first have to say how great John was with communicating back to me so quickly! I wanted to get into the place a little earlier and he allowed that to happen. As well, the beds were comfy, the place was quaint providing a beautiful fireplace that draws everyone in the house too! Along with that, we played some games that tool myself and brothers and sister back to childhood. Overall I highly recommend this place and John is a wonderful person to accommodate us. Thank you again!

I will start by saying that my family would gladly stay here again. We came to Flagstaff, AZ the last week of July during monsoon season, therefore it was raining a lot, but that didn't spoil our urge to hike through the 10,000 year old lava river cave in Northern Flagstaff, it was a pretty cool hike, you go underground in a cave with rocks everywhere, no mud, we found out you need good hiking boots the rocks were aggressive on sneakers (oops). The hike is only half an hour in, and half an hour walking back, you need a spotlight or a good flashlight inside, it is pitch black. We really enjoyed the cold cave. The home at 7275 river valley rd was very heartwarming, and it was equipped with everything you need for a good weekend with your family, bbq grill, plates, utensils and two very spacious living rooms, even though we enjoyed our favorite soccer games at the living room by the kitchen. The smart tv allows you to watch movies on Netflix, as well as television provider. The rooms were perfect for everyone who stayed here, we enjoyed playing family games while it was raining. There is a lot to visit around the Flagstaff, but the best thing was resting at this home.

Had everything we needed for a family get-together.

  • 4 of 5

A pleasant, spacious home with a wonderful big dining table perfect for a large family gathering. We enjoyed a blazing fire in the big fireplace. Only one complaint that one of the beds was uncomfortable, possibly broken. We weren't especially fond of the animal heads on the wall but managed to joke our way past minding them.

Spacious Property - Surpurb Memories

  • 4 of 5

Spacious property with cozy cabin interior that offers many comfort features including fireplace units in multiple rooms, perfect for a cold winter's stay. Kitchen well equipped with necessary features to accommodate cooking for a crowd. Select items throughout property outdated but nothing to prevent a delightful stay.

Rental company easy to communicate with, and honored late checkout request. We booked this cabin hoping to play in the snow which finally came on our departure date. Grateful we were able to stay a few extra hours to capture some snowflake memories.

Nice Quiet Place

  • 4 of 5

Loved gas stove. Place was peaceful. Beds were nice. Couches and accent pillows were well worn. Lots of space for dogs to run- but not fenced all around the property. Laundry room had mildew smell from time we arrived- I think I figured out the front load types needs the door to stay open so I left it that way.

Owner's Response: Hi Heddi, Thank you for the review and the input. Sometimes the only way we are aware of these issues is when a Guest informs us. I will definitely pass on your suggestion to the cleaners about leaving the door ajar, and we will monitor to see if that resolves it. Best Wishes, Tara KD Prime Vacation Rentals KD Prime Properties
