Amazing location just minutes from the waters edge for walks along the beach with views back to Glen Coe. Only 15 minutes to Fort William and easy access to other attractions and the great outdoors. Very comfortable house with everything we needed. It's rare to find dog friendly accommodation of this quality.
Holiday in Oinch
Excellent location no fault to find with the property. Enjoyed our stay and will be back in the near future.
Night Time Sleep Deprivation, Dripping Window Gutter
Overall my wife and I were very disappointed with this cottage, unable to sleep each evening when it rained, which was 5 evening out of the seven nights we stayed. The main reason for our lack of sleep was caused by the leaking plastic guttering above our double bedroom window.
Each night when it rained the window guttering dripped onto the outside plastic window sill causing a loud noise within the bedroom . The constant drip was the result of a poor window guttering design resulting from the lack of any suitable drainage down pipe at each side of the open guttering above our bedroom window.
When we complained about the noise the property owned email me telling us to move into the rear smaller twin bedroom to sleep. This was totally unsatisfactory as we had made the booking on the understanding we were able to sleep without disruption in comfort in a double bed. On the second day of our stay we received a second email from the property owner informing us she had instructed a local builder to repair the problem who would attend the fault the following day. The builder a young boy eventually turned up on the day before we left the cottage to return home. My wife and I were shocked when the builder told us he had fixed the fault then asked me to pay for the work; naturally we referred the builder to the owner. That night it rained heavily once again, and to our astonishment the dripping was much worse now emanating from both sides of the gutter not just one side as before. We found our experience totally unacceptable and frustrating. We were left to endure the predicament which could should have been rectified before we had arrived. The next door neighbour told us two days before we returned home that she had been aware of the dripping gutter on our window as she could hear it from inside her own bedroom when it rained in the night.
It would have been nice to have been told by the cottage owner she was very sorry for the problem we had endured throughout our stay.
I would like to lodge a formal complaint on behalf of my wife and myself and ask for at least that a portion of the monies we paid to be refunded for the evening were were unable to sleep as a gesture of good will. No one should have been forced to endure nearly a full week of interrupted sleep because of a faulty gutter, which should have been repaired before we had arrived,

Lovely comfortable house with stunning scenery.
Beautiful place not far from Fort William
We stayed here for 2 nights and used it as a base for climbing Ben Nevis. Perfect location right opposite the Loch with stunning views. The cottage was so cosy and warm and perfect for what we needed during our short break in Scotland. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place and will certainly be staying again! Thank you Adrian and Joanne!
Lovely little cottage, great location / view and well equipped for us and our baby girl
