William Hansen purchased this condo in 2002
The mountain is the best in the west and the Tahoe area is great for year round activities. Squaw Valley USA is an incredible mountain. KSL has taken over the ownership and are taking this resort to a whole new level.
Slopeside with underground parking
The condo was very conveniently located to everything in the Village. A true ski-in/ski out rental! We had a total of three people for five nights.....if I was forced to find a negative...it would be the size and layout of the kitchen; simply because we all like to cook and be involved in food prep. Everything else was perfect for our needs!! We were never able to figure out how to access the Wireless Internet.....maybe it was as simple as rebooting or something like this, but we were able to access the internet via our phone provider. We would highly recommend others to rent this unit and we will inquire about renting this unit should we return to the area!! Thanks
Anywhere in the village is great, but this unit is in a particularly awesome spot because it's a very, very short walk to the lifts in your very, very uncomfortable ski boats. Nice set up to relax and unwind. Gorgeous view of the mountain.
Condo is well equipped and a perfect size for a couple. Clean and very comfortable, shows just a little bit of wear. The location in the village is great - very short walk to the base and great view of the mountains from the condo. Nice little porch too. However, the condo is very warm and the thermostat does not work. We did hear some other people had the same issue in their condo, so it may be the building more than the individual unit. You can open the window/patio door to adjust the temperature which works well, except then you hear A LOT of noise - from the snow grooming equipment to trucks bringing supplies and taking out trash to the shuttle bus - the stop is right outside the window, so we also had to listen to late night revellers waiting at the stop as well. That said, it was still a wonderful trip and the unit otherwise was great. The owner was very responsive via email when i had a question.
This property was a great location, so close to the slopes and right at the village. However, even with the thermostat set to very low, the condo stayed extremely hot (getting up to 85 degrees) and the whole building seemed to have this problem. Because the windows didn't seem to want to open and their were no fans, we had to keep the balcony door open to regulate the temperature. When nearby visitors smoked on their balconies, it would fill the condo. Other than this problem, every thing else was great and it has a nice view of the mountain.
Snow removal equipment was working and very noisy all night long, every night. Condo has nice view of mountain and ski lifts.
The condo has a fantastic location as it's a 2 minute walk out the door to the gondola. It was appropriated well and was lovely for a quick city getaway. The condo was missing one shade and so I could see right into the Member locker room. I assume that will be fixed and certainly is not a big issue. There was a note saying to be patient with the heat, that it was very slow in warming or cooling. It actually seemed to be ON the whole time and the place was almost 80 degrees. I could not get it to cool down other then to open the windows. This probably needs to be looked at. Overall though, I had a terrific stay. The bed was very comfortable for a great night's sleep and the shower was nice and strong and hot. Overall a wonderful stay and I'd stay there again
My husband and I booked this condo out for a snow get away trip for a couple of days. It was a cute one bedroom condo that was perfect for us. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook and balcony had a few views of some slope runs. It was also in a great spot that's walking distance to ski lifts, trams, stores and restaurants. They provided shuttles to bring you to Alpine Ridge and Resort at Squaw Creek. And, Bill was easily reachable and helpful with any questions or concerns we had.
Our only con is the temperature was a little on the warm side. We're not sure if the thermostat was working or not because when we tried to lower the temperature it didn't seem to have cooled down in the condo unless we opened the window or balcony door.
Definitely book this room again the next time my husband and I go back to Squaw Valley!!!
