The house was very roomy. We highly enjoyed our time indoors. We needed to go off site for outdoor entertainment. We understood this going into it. Overall the good things balanced with the not so good. Thanks, Dan. We appreciated out stay.
A Real Pleasant Surprise!!
When you've known the rough and tumble world of the marina on White Lake as long as I have, with sail/power boats flying around, wise-talking gas jockeys ruling the docks, boat people tying up or shoving off, and the backdrop of screaming sea gulls, it's hard to imagine a place of serenity and beauty sitting on top of this world ... but there is, and I have been there. I'd heard that it was nice, but nothing prepared us for the first impression of walking in there, having a panoramic view in three directions, stretching for miles, water, woods, cottages, dunes ... more water ... wow. And the big, airy rooms (big enough to have a small yoga class!). Living room is party central. The adjacent kitchen provides every amenity necessary, with plenty of elbow room. Master bedroom upstairs (huge), and three "kid" bedrooms downstairs (also quite capacious). Everything was top notch. To quote Gen. Douglas MacArthur, "I shall return!"
A Million Dollar View!!!
Words can't really express the spectacular beauty of White Lake from this Marine rental home. My 5 sisters and our families had rented this home last week. We have another sister that lives in Whitehall. Her daughter had graduated from college with honors and wanted the whole family to help share in her celebration. Her home was not big enough for all 9 of us from out of town so we found this glorious gem. The panoramic view on both floors were priceless. All the rooms were roomy and never felt crowded. . It was nice to all be able to sat down at one table and have dinner while enjoying Gods beauty. We were all adults that stayed but had other family to come and visit with children. Room for all. The bedrooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The TV were great but never had them on much. We had brought our WI music...... played, sang, laughed and cried with joy with all the family. It had been 10 years since we had all been together. Everything was well stocked. There were things to see around the area. One of our favorite's was the light house 1.6 miles (one way) down the road. It was a great walk. A storm rolled in on Saturday which was nice to sat and watch from 180 degrees. "Beautiful" Dan and Abby (Dan's daughter) were wonderful. When booking the place Dan made my decision easy for sending more picture and being their for what ever came up. When Dan was away his daughter filled in and did the same as her father. She had a big shoe to fill. We would recommend this delightful, charming and attractive lake house. If we have a large group again in MI, it will be here. Thanks again Dan.
A wonderful experience!!!
We rented this property to surprise my father for his 80th Birthday. My nephew had just graduated from high school and we needed a place to host his Open House as well. Dan, our contact person for the property responded to our inquiry promptly, answered all of our many questions and was very attentive during our stay. We came from four different states- arrived at all hours of the night and were very tired. The place was immaculate. The beds were very comfortable and the location exceeded our expectations. During our on-site event, Dan went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. He offered suggestions on places to dine out, set up tables with umbrellas to protect us from the July sun and was just an absolute joy to work with. The bonus was that we were surrounded by unmatched beauty, early morning, afternoon, evening and during the Fireworks display. We hope to return in the fall to enjoy the changing of the leaves. I only wish I could upload pictures as the scenery was just breathtaking! Thanks again Dan for giving us memories we will forever cherish.
Recently, my family and I enjoyed a wonderful 3-Day stay at this beautiful and serene marina home. It was absolutely gorgeous!! Clean, spacious, cozy, peaceful,..all with an incredible and stunning, panoramic view of the enchanting White Lake! The multi-level building was ideal for a large family, which made it "perfect" for us! The upstairs was a great place for the adults to hang out, chat, and enjoy the views of the lake, while the lower level offered plenty of space for the kids to stretch out, relax, play games and watch television. The kitchen was spacious, and many of the pantry items you'd need such as salt, pepper, sugar, foil, etc.,..were already available. My absolute favorite parts of my stay were waking up to the sound of birds chirping and the cool ocean breeze. The sunsets were "postcard pretty," like something out of a magazine,..just beautiful!! The rooms were quite spacious with very comfortable bedding, and an amazing ocean view. One of the beds on the bottom floor even had bunk beds, which made the room ideal for kids! Dan, our contact person, was fabulous!! I cannot say enough good things about him! Prior to our trip, he was kind, courteous and informative when we were trying to gather information for our stay. During our stay, he was readily available for everything we needed, and even allowed us to communicate with him via text when necessary. Dan was AWESOME!! I would definitely return to this property, and would highly, highly recommend this property to a friend, as it was truly an unforgettable experience!!!!
