About Doug Meggison & Marie Chidley, owners
We are a retired couple and spend a lot of time travelling, especially to our second home in downtown St. John's Newfoundland. We will be flexible in arrangements for the summer rental of our 'house beautiful' in Old Strathcona neighbourhood Edmonton. -Doug & Marie

100% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date. 50% refund if canceled at least 14 days before arrival date.
Our home is located in the outstanding Old Strathcona neighbourhood which has, in our experience, a walk-ability index rating of 100. The culturally bustling Whyte Avenue area is full of live theatre, restaurants, bars and festival such as the Edmonton Fringe Theatre festival in August. There is immediate access to many trails which can be biked or walked. The Francophone district is a short walk across the adjacent Mill Creek ravine park.
Additional information about rental rates
Before occupying the premises, Marie and Doug expect to have close contact, whether a face to face meeting or by Skype or FaceTime to set final arrangements. We would appreciate the summer renter taking responsibility for yard work [quite minimal really] and feeding the goldfish in the outdoor pond. We have established a 60 day minimum but shoulder days are available too. We do not have a cleaning fee but expect the summer renter to leave the house and grounds in the same or better condition as when the house is first occupied.
