About Glenda and Jake McKneely
My name is Glenda and my husband Jake. Our Vacation Rental is the Home where my husband grew up. Owned by his sweet Mom and Dad, W.C. & Willena McKneely. They have now gone home to be with their Heavenly Father. We wanted to be able to take care of the home place and wanted others to enjoy the sweet atmosphere of the quiet country living. This Home has been a place where they raised 7 children, 5 girls and 2 boys. They all worked hard on the farm growing up. Instilled in them was a relationship with Jesus Christ with lots of love and laughter. Our hope is that you can find that quiet place and hear God's voice as you escape your routine everyday life. We hope you enjoy your stay and will want to come back again.
Why Glenda and Jake McKneely chose Cherokee
I came to know the Lord in 1997. It was then that I realized who I was in Christ, His daughter, the daughter of the King. Then in 2013 I met two wonderful ladies Ginnie and Sarah Johnson. These Ladies are authors, Artist and songwriters. They co-wrote the Book, Trading up for a King's Daughter. This book was my heart also and I have shared it with many people. Ginnie is the one who suggested I name the Vacation Rental The King's Daughter Inn. I have available for purchase from a catalog at the Inn, books music and artwork these two ladies have to bless you with if you are interested.
What makes this Farmhouse unique
There is always such a nice breeze and the outdoors is my favorite just sitting in the prayer garden listening to the birds & locus or gazing up at the moon and stars and Bird watching & all the wildlife that come around. You will be blessed when you enter and blessed when you leave. The Texas Pecan Coffee is very good and I have it complementary for your enjoyment. The movie Library is amazing with all great Family movies for you to enjoy. I have books in each room that will inspire and encourage you. Don't delay come get away and enjoy this peaceful home.

Peaceful and Comfortable
This little place provides a wonderful atmosphere of peace and quiet. The furnishings are comfortable and very home-like (that's a compliment!). The bed was AMAZING! Unfortunately my first morning I had to be somewhere at 9:00 a.m. so I couldn't linger, but I did the second morning! Only one negative - as a Verizon user, I did not have cell service. On the positive side of that - added to the peace and quiet!!!
I am so glad you came so far and stayed at the King's Daughter Inn. It is a place of rest and peace. Thank you for staying and for your nice review. I hope you come again.
Very peaceful and relaxing
Our stay was fantastic, Glenda is an excellent and thoughtful host. The house was cozy and charming. I especially enjoyed drinking the locally made pecan coffee out in the prayer garden.
Thank you so much ! I am so glad you had an enjoyable stay that’s my number 1 priority. The pecan coffee and prayer garden is my favorite also. The scenery of the sky and landscapes is so relaxing .
Awesome place to stay. I couldn't have asked for better hospitality! We will be back.
The house was great. Very easy to get to. Loved the carport!
I am so happy you enjoyed your stay! My guest are my #1 priority. The carport is such a nice place to sit and watch nature and always has a breeze blowing which is so nice. I look forward to your return. Blessings❤️
Perfect Stay !
Far away from hustle and bustle of city life, quiet and loving.
Place is so neat and clean. Our little one enjoyed the flowers and birds in the morning. We found everything what we needed. You would see wildlife, drive slow through the country roads and pay attention...
Glenda is such a nice host, she arranged a delicious breakfast on first day of our stay.
Since no guest was coming, she allowed us to stay an hour longer after checkout time.
She is a nice and caring woman , indeed!
Not much data and voice connectivity and no wifi but who would need them in a place like this !
Our memorial day weekend was so special, Thanks for everything Glenda and Jake.
Good place to tour from
Well decorated and updated, peaceful, quiet - out in the country. A great place to get away from it all! Shower was small, no wifi or TV not a problem for a short stay. Good coffee and breakfast and lovely, friendly, attentive hostess. We appreciated the Christian-centered décor in every room.
Lovely country setting.
We had a wonderful stay. Thank you Glenda for sharing your light and being a wonderful hostess. The property is peaceful and near hiking and San Saba. Loved every minute!
We are right in the middle between San Saba and Llano 17 miles to each town. They have great places to eat, winery's , shops and then the Colorado Bend State Park is about 24 miles with an amazing scenic drive. Enchanted Rock between Llano and Fredericksburg is also a fun place to go see just about 30 minutes away.
