Perfect getaway for a couple.
The house was great. Loved the big glass windows all around and the deck. Everything was really clean and the king sized bed in the MBR was surprisingly comfortable. House had an odd smell when we first got there but I’m extra sensitive to odors. It wasn’t bad so maybe the house had been closed up for a while. House had more than usual supplies for a rental. Foil, plastic wrap, tooth brush, paste etc. There were even a few waters in the fridge. One note of caution, the last mile is not for the faint of heart. The steep gravel road is very narrow with several blind curves. I stay in vacation rental houses regularly and this was in my top five. Would definitely recommend it.
Beautiful home, very clean!
Property was beautiful and peaceful. Our only complaint regarding the rental was that the listing said 15 minutes from Ashville. It took more than 15 minutes to get down to the highway. The road is very winding and steep with no lighting, therefore, you need to drive pretty slow. If you are planning a visit to downtown Ashville or the Biltmore, be prepared to drive approximately hour to get there.
Lovely cabin in a quiet setting
My family really enjoyed staying in the Dreamcatcher cabin! The location was definitely off the beaten path, in a quiet, secluded community. The cabin was clean and spacious, and sitting on the deck, we were surrounded by trees and a narrow (but pretty) view of the mountains. We loved using the grill, outdoor firepit, and indoor fireplace- it rained a few nights but we still got to enjoy s'mores. The nearby Ingles grocery store was one of the nicest I've seen. I would definitely stay here again, but the location seems more fit for getting there and staying there than a lot of coming and going (what we did). The king sized bed in the master was appreciated, as were the two separate beds in the other bedroom, as my kids cringe at the thought of sharing a bed. A really nice touch was that both the firepit and the fireplace had all the wood in place when we got there, all we had to do was light them. There were even bundles of sticks ready for more fires just inside the front door. All in all, a very enjoyable stay!
We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay at The Dream-Catcher, The cabin is one of my favoriate getaways as the manager. Hope to see you again in the near future.
Best to you.

Cozy cabin with great wilderness location
We couldn't have asked for a better dog-friendly cabin nestled on the slopes of the Black Mountains. The location offered privacy and comfort with quick access to some of the most rugged hiking trails east of the Mississippi. Downtown Asheville is close enough for a day trip to the breweries. Melissa and her team were responsive and very helpful when booking the property.
