Very comfortable and close to Stratford and the Cotswolds.
Great place to stay. Only issue was the very narrow and steep stairs which meant we could not take our suitcases up there.
My husband, brother and I just recently spent 6 days at Rose Cottage. Everything about it was just as I imagined it when I booked our stay. Alderminister is a small community conveniently located in the Cotswolds. We made daily excursions in all directions seeing the many sights the area offers. The cottage itself is charming and comfortable and offered all the amenities we needed during our stay. One gem we discovered the first day of our stay was a local bakery called "Knead It". Not only was their bread and other baked goods delicious, the couple that own and operate the bakery were delightful. Enjoying their amazing baked goods and visiting with them was a highlight of our stay in the area! 'Sourdough Saturday', the only day they make sourdough bread, is a must! We highly recommend this property!
Well equipped cottage. Peaceful. Good location for visiting National Trust properties in the area. Also enjoyed Batsford Arboretum. Bourton in Water very touristy and avoid if you don't like crowds
Thank you for your review, we are indeed lucky to have so many National Trust properties within very easy reach.
Loved this cottage the conservatory is sooooo warm when the sun is out you could just fall asleep on the comfy sofa!!! would definately recommend and will be returning. Had some lovely meals in different country pubs. Very relaxing.
Many thanks for your review, we are delighted you enjoyed your stay. The conservatory is a relaxing place glad you had time to enjoy it.
Snug, comfortable and well equipped.
A comfortable, traditional cottage well placed for exploring the beautiful area. Particularly lovely in the spring sunshine with plenty to explore in town or countryside.
Thank you for your review, we are delighted you enjoyed your stay and the weather was so kind. Our location is ideal for both town and country interest.
A real home from home
We stayed for four nights and felt the cottage was very homely and cosy, we felt at home there immediately. It was lovely and snug, and very warm despite the awful weather! It is so well equipped with everything in the kitchen you could need.
The only slight downside for me personally, I wished I could have seen out of the conservatory windows which are obscured - or even see out of just a few of them - it would be so nice to see the lovely garden from there.
We would thoroughly recommend this cottage which is ideally situated for getting out and about the Cotswolds, and on a direct bus route into Stratford Upon Avon. It was a really lovely stay here.
Thank you for your review, we are delighted you enjoyed your stay and you clearly explored the whole area.
We are in two minds about the conservatory windows, if you can see out to the garden and lane you can also be seen. We have taken the view that you can enjoy the garden by being in it. Clearly better in spring/summer than winter!
