The flat is in a patio complex featuring a tranquil garden of orange trees, roses and a fountain. There is a common terrace on the roof where you can enjoy Alhambra views.
There are two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a queen-size double bed and built-in wardrobes with floor to ceiling mirrors. The second bedroom has a single bed and chest of drawers. Two further guests can be accommodated in the living room where two single beds are fitted out as sofas for daytime use.
The spacious living room enjoys a view of the patio and provides a variety of flexible seating arrangements including sofas, a rocking chair and an ergonomic kneeling chair. While the neighborhood is filled with restaurants, the kitchen is well equipped with a 5-fire gas stove, oven, microwave, toaster, kettle and coffee pots with a comprehensive set of utensils for the enthusiastic cook.
The bathroom has a walk-in shower. Towels, soap, shampoo and hairdryer are also provided.
The flat is situated on Cuesta del Chapiz in the Albaicin, the medieval heart of Moorish Granada. A picturesque neighborhood, it is popular with tourists for the enchanting atmosphere created by its architectural gems, twisting cobbled streets, Andalusian carmens with their cypress and lemon trees.
Turn a corner and you will be in the Sacromonte Barrio, the traditional Gypsy quarter with its interesting cave houses and clubs featuring Flamenco music and dance. A two-minute stroll will bring you to the popular Paseo de los Tristes, lined with outdoor bars and restaurants under the foot of the Alhambra
Most of Granada's principal tourist attractions can be easily accessed on foot. Within 10 minutes' walk are:
—the famous Mirador San Nicolas, with its majestic views of the Alhambra, backed by the towering Sierra Nevada
—Plaza Larga, the traditional heart of the Albaicin, where you can find all the standard tourist necessities including supermarket, bakery, pharmacy, restaurants and bars can be found in the immediate neighborhood
—El Bañuelo, an 11th-century Islamic bathhouse.
The Cathedral, Capilla Real, Mercado San Agustin, Alcaicería & Plaza Bib-Rambla, etc are all within 20 minutes on foot. If you are feeling energetic, the Alhambra is also only 20 minutes, but up a steep hill.
Nevertheless, buses to the city center are just steps away from the apartment and a dedicated tourist coach with brings you to all the major sites of interests is 3 minutes away.
Other things to note
Parking is available in the same building and free. However, please do note that there are traffic restrictions in the City Center and in Albaicin. Visitors can only enter these areas by car at certain times (for Albaicin, normally between 2pm and 8pm, detailed information available on the website of the Granada City Hall.
