This comfortable air-conditioned two bedroom condo is well located in Santa Fe. With easy access to highway 285 north, it is less than a 10-minute drive to the Santa Fe Opera. It is about 1 mile (an easy walk for those into walking) from the Plaza, the center of old Santa Fe. A drive of about 1 mile puts one on the road to the Santa Fe Ski Basin. The De Vargas Center with very good restaurants, grocery store, drugstore, excellent shops, post office, etc. is a few hundred yards from the condo.
The entrance door to the condo opens into a hallway with a small coat closet and a bedroom on each side of the hall. The hallway leads to the open living/dining area with beamed ceilings and a wood-burning kiva fireplace. Furnishings include an armoire with a television and VCR and a dining table that comfortably seats six people. Double french doors lead out of the living area onto a covered balcony where one can eat and relax while looking out on a mountain view.
The kitchen is open to the living area and has an electric stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, small microwave oven and the necessary assortment of pots, pans, dishes, utensils, coffee maker, toaster, etc. for preparing and eating meals.
The master bedroom has a walk-in closet and an adjacent half-bath. It is furnished with a queen-size bed, small TV, radio alarm clock and R.C. Gorman prints on the walls. The second bedroom has an ample closet, queen-size bed, radio alarm clock and Georgia O'Keeffe prints on the wall. Good quality bed and bath linens are furnished. The full bath has a tub with shower and a closet with a small, stacked WASHER & DRYER.
Located in a quiet neighborhood and shielded from mainstream traffic noise by another building in the condo complex, the condo is a peaceful place to stay. There is ample free parking in the complex parking lot. The condo is not wheel chair accessible since one must go up six steps to reach the entrance. It is a Non-Smoking condo and NO PETS, so a comfortable condo for those with allergies to pets.

I am a retired community college teacher and an opera lover. For many years prior to buying the condo, I spent a week in Santa Fe each summer attending performances of the Santa Fe Opera. Since purchasing the condo, I have continued to spend a week each summer at my home away from home in Santa Fe enjoying the opera (total now more than 25 summers of Santa Fe Opera performances) and have also enjoyed being in Santa Fe at other times of the year.
Glynn purchased this Condo in 2002
Why Glynn chose Santa Fe
The condo is in a very convenient location--within walking distance of the Plaza (about a mile)-- and a quick drive to the Santa Fe Opera.

Wonderful place to stay!
We stayed a week in Santa Fe at Sally's condo and it was perfect. It is well located and beautifully decorated. Sally gave us good directions for getting there and for getting into the condo. The condo is supplied with paper products, soap and other things you might need while staying there. The only drawback was that the internet was a little slow, but still acceptable. I highly recommend this condo and would stay again if we went back to Santa Fe.!
We recently returned from a ten day vacation in Santa Fe where we stayed in this clean and well-maintained condo. The owner was kind enough to provide paper products, soaps, and cleaning supplies for our stay. The WiFi connection was dependable and fast. We were very pleased with the location---close to the Plaza, good grocery stores, and the many Santa Fe attractions. The owner, Sally, sent us good driving directions to the condo and excellent recommendations for restaurants and things to do. She was very responsive and pleasant to work with. We have rented many vacation condos in the past----this was certainly one of the best.
After a very bad experience with a rental, this one more than made up for it. The place was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Lots of games and movies if you want entertainment at home. So much to do in the area, and so beautiful! The toilets were a little hard to flush, and a lot of strange noises from the water tank, but it didn't bother me.
Great Condo for a Santa Fe Stay
Our family of 5 used this condo for a ski vacation. It was just a little bit tight, but we were alright with it. The condo itself was top-notch. A well-equipped kitchen, comfortable furnishings and great location made it an ideal base station for our ski weekend. Well located for driving in to Santa Fe and for easily accessing the ski area or, with a longer drive north, Taos.
Thank you for you review of my Santa Fe condo. I am pleased to know that you found it to be conveniently located, comfortable and well furnished. With two queen-size beds and a queen-size sleeper sofa, it can sleep up to six people. However the interior space is not large so, as you noted, it can be a little tight for five or six people--but it works for congenial friends and happy families.
When we arrived the place was very clean with a well stocked kitchen. The condo is conveniently located to downtown and most other attractions. Most of our trips were within ten minutes or less. We really enjoyed our stay and I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience Santa Fe.
World Class Opera (summer), chamber music festival (summer), art galleries (Canyon Road, Railyard District and throughout Santa Fe), historic buildings and churches, city tours (walking and open-air trams), Santa Fe Southern Railway rides, art markets (summer International Folk Art Market; Spanish Market; Indian Market; Fiesta early September); New Mexico state capitol building great permanent art collection, pueblo ruins at Bandolier National Monument, science and atomic museums at Los Alamos, skiing (winter), river rafting
