Our three bedroom apartment is on the top floor of Castletown House with two bathrooms, one en-suite enclosed shower. Spa bath in shared bathroom & shower over bath. Dining Area and living room / lounge. The entrance is on the second floor, and carries on up into the dining area which makes an impressive entrance into the apartment, although we do not have a lift we are on hand to assist with the check in when you arrive

The three bedroom consist of two king bedrooms, a twin room with two single beds with an en-suite bathroom, which can be converted into another king bedroom. Fully fitted open plan kitchen, living room / lounge, with Play Station 3 & games, DVDs, stereo system & Free Wi Fi

We operate our apartments with service in mind and look forward to welcoming our guests to London to show them what the city has to offer and for them to have a relaxing time whilst away from the busy city centre.

Our collection of apartments comprise of studio, one bedroom, two bedroom and three bedroom apartments, most of which are located within Castletown House's main building, although we do now look after a couple of other units on Perham Road, and Bramber Road, just a few minutes from our main building.

Castletown House is a family run business, and we strive in making a guests stay with us a positive and enjoyable one, and have received many reviews online over the years, although we have a limited selection on this website, a simple search will bring up plenty of other reviews for an expanded view on Castletown House.

Our entrance has a small reception desk, free payphone for either Richard or myself, as well as being able to make local calls (charged) should the need arise, we also have pamphlets and maps to help you become orientated. Although Castletown House offers private self catering apartments as I work on site I am often around should you need anything or simply some advice on where to go I am happy to be of assistance.

Our studio units are ideal for two people, and as a self contained apartment with open plan kitchen allowing guests to prepare light to heavy meals from the comfort of their own home, with the exception of the basis studio all apartments have a washer / dryer within them making taking care of any washing a non issue.

Our family studio is a ground floor larger unit with separate kitchen, ideal for two people and with the capability to accommodate a family of four utilising the sofa bed.

Our one bedroom apartments are situated over three floors, and all similar in layout and presentation, they can accommodate up to four people with the addition of the sofa bed.

Our two bedroom unit is a lower ground unit with private entrance and rear patio, as well as private laundry room, and games machine.

Our three bedroom apartment is great for larger groups, situated on the third floor, with dining space, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room and open plan kitchen as well as PlayStation 3 with DVDs and Games to play.

Close to the heart of London in the sought after area of West Kensington and Barons Court, you can enjoy the comforts of home, with no hotel restrictions, ideal for leisure and business breaks, where privacy and comfort are a number one priority. We have been awarded a Self Catering 3* holiday rating from the London Tourist Board, which means you can expect a high level of service and comfort, as well as offering affordability in an expensive city .

Our nearest Underground stations are West Kensington (2 Minutes) or Barons Court (5 minutes) - Both Earls Court & Olympia Exhibition Centres are nearby and within walking distance. London's major attractions are around 20 to 30 minutes away via good local transport links, including the underground, overground and London bus network.

All apartments are fully furnished with excellent facilities, these include; flat screen television - radio/ I pod dock - hair dryer - shaver point - fridge/freezer - cooker/hob - microwave - kettle/toaster - washing machine - iron & ironing board - internet / WiFi access, also includes all linen and towels for a weeks stay, with a weekly cleaning service, and shorter stays on request and charged for.

*Please note; a one week minimum applies over the Christmas and New Year Period, and other restrictions may apply at other busy periods. Our basic studio has no washing machine or oven.

About Mark Poppleton

My Father & I have been running Castletown House for a number of years, and although you'll see more of me than Richard these days, we both live close to the apartments and are on call should the need ever arise. We enjoy meeting new people from near and wide, and hope to welcome you to our apartments soon and you may on occasion spot me in the great local pub the Curtains Up mixing with friends, locals and other guests, whoever's around really! Having studied Hospitality Management at both Oxford Brookes and University of Central Florida working within the family business made the next logical step for myself and it has been a rewarding and interesting line of work to be in, and it certainly keeps me busy!

In my spare time I like to travel, and see my friends in London. I was born in London and enjoy what the city has to offer with a passion! I like to see upcoming events and concerts, although I must admit its been some years since I went inside the Tower of London! An absolute must in London in my opinion, though I do love a Castle! You could say I work in one... well not quite but the names there!

Why Mark Poppleton chose London

We have managed this building within the family for a number of years, and we strive to make each guests an enjoyable one.

Castletown House is an entire building dedicated to short term visitors to London, for both business and leisure purposes, and we are on site daily Monday to Friday for advice and assistance should you need it. I believe the building is a Victorian town house built around the turn of the 20th Century, converted from what would of been originally a one family house! That's five floors, including the lower level and third floor three bedroom apartment. My Father will have you believe it was the local vicars house as we are directly opposite a Church building that he would of worked at! How much truth is in that is for you to decide, but I do know that Ghandi lived just a few minutes away, his plaque his visible outside informing passers by that he lived there whilst being a law student in London.

The apartments are designed for travellers in mind, and is set up upon arrival with all the kitchenware, linen and towels you should need for your stay, they would be ideal for families, as well for business guests.

West Kensington is an area slightly away from the touristy area of Earls Court which is still just one stop away, and so feels more of a local area, with easy access to nearby areas should you want to find something a little more lively. Everything can reached easily from Barons Court and West Kensington station.

What makes this apartment unique

Castletown House is a well established apartment complex in West Kensington. The property is set within a Victorian townhouse which has been converted into short term apartments set over five floors. The area is a residential area with a few local pubs and restaurants that guests will enjoy with the locals themselves.

A family business, the property has great meaning to us and we hope that you will enjoy your stay with us as much as we enjoy hosting guests from around the world.

We had a great experience at 11 Castletown, & Mark Poppleton was a very attentive host!

The property is in overall very good shape and well cared for. When I found the dishwasher wasnt working, Mark did our dishes for us while we were out! The 3 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms are small(to be expected in a London flat), but the space is used well, and our family of six felt comfortable. We would definitely recommend this property to others!

Very comfortable apartment and extremely convenient to two tube stations!

This was a very nice, comfortable 3-bedroom apartment on the top floor (several short flights of stairs). Three king beds and two full baths. Kitchenette, small dining area and family room included. The daytime managers were friendly and helpful.

Best wishes, from Mark and the Castletown House staff! Some additional notes for future guests: The three bedroom is on the third floor (UK) and is our top floor apartment. One of the king beds can also be set as two twin beds and can accommodate a family/group of six people. The apartment is serviced weekly, and has a washer and separate dryer, as well as dishwasher in the kitchen. The family / living room comes equipped with a Play Station 3, some DVDs and games also. We are on site during the day and can be contacted easily though out your stay. I'm happy to answer any additional questions so please do submit an enquiry if you are interested in this apartment!

Excellent property-convenient location!

Our group of 4 adults recently stayed at the Castle Town House 3 bedroom apartment. It is located in a very accessible location, 2 short blocks from the Metro station. The apartment was clean, well appointed and as represented in the advertisements. There is plenty of room with the 3 bedrooms.

Each bedroom has generous storage and one bedroom has an en suite with a shower.

The apartment is fully equipped-we really appreciated having a washer and dryer(limiting the need for excessive packing).

Mark is a friendly and competent manager. He is available, resourceful and quickly responded to our inquires and requests.

I would confidently recommend this property. It is bright, clean and meet all our travel needs.

Great 3 bedroom

We are a family of 5, and stayed in this apartment for 3 nights. It was large and well equipped, and more than adequate for our needs. Not what you would call 'center city' but close to multiple Underground station so getting around is quick and easy. Plenty of supermarkets and food outlets near by. Mark was very friendly and helpful, and the apartment was well equipped. It even had some computer games and dvds, and best of all Monopoly, to keep the kids entertained.

3 br apt Castletown House, W Kensington, London.

My wife and I and 18yr old daughter had a week long stay on the top floor apt (3br) at Castletown House. The apartment was very clean, bright and airy and very well laid out. It would be perfect for 4 adults or even 5\6 adults\kids combined. It is very convenient to London's hotspots, very close to the tube station and ample express supermarkets and restaurants nearby. Only minor drawback of top floor setting is the luggage haul! The host Mark, is friendly and welcoming, and kindly allowed us the use of an adjoining apt for a couple of hours due to our early (10am) arrival after a 26 hr flight from Sydney, whilst awaiting cleaning. I would certainly recommend this apartment for a week long stay in London.......Randall Hurley, Sydney, Australia.

Some great nearby restaurants are available including the well reputed Best Mangal Turkish Restaurant, 222 Vegetarian and the highly recommended via Trip Advisor; Indian Express. Other local restaurants include a Thai, Chinese, Local Fish & Chips and a soon to be opened Jamaican Restaurant. Cafes aplenty, including the Deli Bar & Mamma Anna as well as the well established Costa Coffee.

Our apartments are also close to a local market with fresh fruit, vegetables, as well as established fish mongers and butchers which we can direct you to. It is a locals market with a local feel so certainly worth checking out.

West Kensington is an area to feel like a local, be it in a local pub, or down the market mixing with all the residents buying their food for the week, and being so close to Central London it is an ideal way to see London from two perspectives, as well as being an ideal business base for those working in Hammersmith, or Olympia.

Direct links from Heathrow, with Gatwick having a direct link into Victoria and Stansted & Luton into other parts of London; Castletown House is in a good location for arrival and departure into London, where we can of course store luggage free of charge up until the early evening.
