The flat is very near to the beautiful and characteristic Rome's Monti neighborhood that is a collection of art galleries and enoteche (wine bars) just to the east of the Colosseum. And after a lengthy phase of urban re-organization, it is a mecca for young tourists traveling to the Eternal City.
Bordering the Esquiline district, it is also just a stone's throw away from the Basilica Santa Maria Maggiore (with its unique Cosmatesque flooring) and from that of St. Peter in Chains, site of Michelangelo's glorious sculpture of Moses.
The flat is just few minutes walking from Termini and from San Giovanni Cathedral and 20 minutes walking from the Colosseum so it's excellent if you are searching for relax in Rome. In Termini you have the metro A & B so you can choose where you want to go, and there are a lot of bus stops just in front of the station that go everywhere in Rome, but please be careful with the pickpockets there. To see the Colosseum, you just have to take the Metro B (blue line) for 2 stops from Termini station, getting off at Colosseo Station, otherwise it is 15 minutes walking and it's really a nice walk in the area. If you come with the car remember that to park on the street if there are no lines or just white lines, it will be free. If you park on blue line you will need to pay at the machines on the street.
