There is even small ramp at the dining room door. The kitchen has beautifully tiled counters, and the dining table has room for 6 with room for 2 more at the kitchen counter. The living room features leather furniture arranged around a large HDTV and a stone woodburning fireplace with limited firewood provided. The master bedroom on this level has a King bed and a TV, and this bedroom has access to the bathroom, also accessed through the hallway.

Upstairs is a loft area with large triangular windows, a queen sized sleeper sofa and TV with BluRay player and a Roku internet TV box. There are two bedrooms on this level. One has a queen bed, and the other has two twin beds. There is also a full bath on this floor.

Outside on the main level deck, relax and enjoy the view. The whole family will enjoy an evening marshmallow roast in the firepit in the yard. On the lower patio awaits the relaxing hot tub, and behind the hot tub are some inner tubes for a fun float trip down the New River, located less than a mile from this cabin.

36 North is located just fifteen minutes north of Boone, so all that the High Country has to offer is just a short drive away. You're sure to love this relaxing haven!

Cabin was GREAT!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was excellent. It had everything we needed. Everything from checking in to checking out was convenient and a pleasure. I would definitely recommend this cabin to others.

Great view, beds comfy, prompt response from managing agency

  • 3 of 5

The cabin has a ramp for disable persons, however, it is covered with a thick coat of mildew which when wet is very slippery and a hazard to walk on. The cabin was not cleaned well by the cleaning person and there were crackers in between the cushions of the sofas. Firewood was very limited and the agency was prompt to respond sending someone to provide wood. Not completely seasoned and thus hard to burn. Ask if they have provided a tarp to cover the wood, otherwise it will get wet and you will not be able to light. The windows on the loft provide a magnificent view which wa obliterated by the lack of cleaning. Beds were comfortable and they have auxiliary heaters in the event the HAC is not adequate. Kitchen well stocked with dinnerware. Skillets were damaged from previous guests, it appears they used them in the firepit or the BBQ. These issues were forwarded to agency and I suspect they will correct these deficiencies. We tried to clean up, however, broom handles were broken and I had to bend over. Never used the hot tub because it is on the lower level and it is far from the entrance of the cabin. We never used it.
