Nice home well located at bird sanctuary and close to beach
Family beach vacation
We had a wonderful time on Dauphin Island. The beach was beautiful, and not crowded...It was practically empty of others. The location of the house at the edge of the bird sanctuary provided a lovely walk to the beach each day. The locals were friendly, helpful and colorful! The house was perfect for our family. A little trouble with wifi, tv, and phone service, though we assumed that was weather and island related. The house was relatively clean, and had all the modern amenities. Only a couple of carpet stains (pet-friendly!). We had a lovely trip and will recommend to others!
Great place, easy access, well maintained and fantastic deck with sun shade
This is the second year our family has rented this house. We thought about a house on the beach but love this one as it houses a lot of family and is easy to get to the beach from the back yard.
I had to kill several roaches while our stsy there.... this is the 2nd time we have stayed there
I hope to not have the same problem next time we stay....
Thank you for letting us know about this. We will look into this immediately.
Exactly as Pictured
Easy to get to, and the trail to the beach was pretty and very navigable. We loved backing up to the Audobon Preserve... it was private but not too secluded. It was the perfect size house for our crowd. We will plan to return!
Bigger and Better Than We Expected!
Our trip to Beach Therapy was a family reunion! Having grown up in Mobile, our family went to DI all the time. We spent many summers there and while it has changed some because of hurricanes and technology, it still feels like the quiet little beach town I remember. The house was very welcoming, clean and spacious. The kitchen was adequately equipped; enough that we had 3 cooks in the kitchen at one time! This rental was easily the cleanest and nicest we have ever stayed in. The dogs had a great time too! The only reason I don't give 5 stars is the fact that the walking path to the beach was not direct. We didn't mind strolling through the bird sanctuary but it turned out to be difficult with beach equipment in tow. The bugs also had a feast on us. However, we had the option of walking down the street and cutting into the sanctuary grounds and this put us right on the beach!
