About Melissa Sjogren

The Barn House is owned and operated by the Sjogren Family! We are a family of 9 that enjoys the outdoors and loves all the space and amenities that this beautiful barn has to offer. We especially love the adventure that awaits when we get there...from hiking to hunting, fishing and kayaking, ATV trails to nature drives, possibilities are endless and the fun is right out the back door!

Melissa Sjogren purchased this barn in 2016

Why Melissa Sjogren chose McGregor

For 12 years the Sjogren Family has enjoyed our extended family holidays and chosen this estate as our first choice to take our vacations. In the summer months we enjoy the lake and all that it has to offer. Autumn is a little more nostalgic as we find ourselves gathered around the fire pit, taking walks back in the Kimberly Forest State trails, and going for fall foliage drives. Winter time begs you to curl up next to the fireplace, with a book, and truly relax. In the Spring we enjoy watching the Spring Migration as the wildlife awakens and the birds come home from their winter retreat.

Fun property with everything you need

  • 5 of 5

I was coordination a get together for a group of guys and this property looked interesting. I initially thought it might be a little far north with not a whole lot to do but that was far from the truth. First of all the management amazing which made the experience really enjoyable! The property really everything we needed including a screened in garage so you could have the garage door open but not let any bugs in. The front yard was also very nice. We have 3 different yard games set up all at once!

In addition to the actually property their are fun bars around the area and well as pontoon rentals on Big Sandy, Sand volley ball at Zorba's and an amazing golf course which I wont disclose my score :)

All in all this place is 10 out of 10. We will likely be back throughout the years! Big thanks to the management for being so accommodation and easy to work with. It's very nice to have good people as the management.

Family Weekend with Friends

  • 5 of 5

We loved our weekend at the barn house! The weather wasn't what we expected for the end of June, but there was still plenty to do. There was something to do for all ages. Plenty of yard space for yard games, campfire ring, lakes for fishing, and places to go walking. We will be going back in the future!

Large yard

  • 3 of 5

Great yard... Sleeps 12 in beds need to bring your own air beds for more. Kitchen well stocked, good appliances, but too easy to be invaded by flies. Road had gravel truck going by 8 to 5 weekdays. Very unsafe for small children. Well supplies with outdoor games.
