This 1905 cottage is located on 3 acres with a big beautiful yard and garden. It has two bedrooms and two baths with a bonus room upstairs that can sleep several people (rented by request). With the bonus room the house can sleep 8-12 comfortably. This home is located 5 miles from downtown Walla Walla and is in the heart of the countryside wineries. Between Walla Walla and Milton Freewater there are so many cute shops, wineries, breweries, and eateries you have to experience. The house is fully furnished and is equipped with everything you may need to be comfortable. The yard is fully fenced so your outside pets are welcome anytime. Inside pets by approval ONLY. If you have horses, it can be arranged to have the pasture and pens empty to accommodate your larger four legged friends!

About Crystal Hedden
I am a special education teacher in Milton Freewater, Oregon. I married last October to my husband Ryan, and we are excited to say that we are expecting our first born, a baby boy, this summer!!
Crystal Hedden purchased this Chateau / Country House in 2015
Why Crystal Hedden chose Milton-Freewater
I have a secret love, ok maybe not so secret, for older houses! This house is a twin to my house I owned in Prosser, WA. I moved to Milton Freewater for a teaching position about 4 years ago. After moving here, I quickly learned I love the area, so I put an offer in on this house. This was supposed to be my new primary home, but just weeks after I started the process to buy this house Ryan asked me to marry him! Unfortunately I never got the chance to live in this house, but I have stayed a few nights just to celebrate how much work we have put into cleaning it up and making it beautiful again!
What makes this Chateau / Country House unique
This house has all the character of an old house, but is clean and updated. This house has french doors that open onto a wrap around porch. The perfect breakfast nook! My favorite part of any house is what's on the outside. It has a covered patio area, as well as a patio and fire pit in the garden. The outside also features a huge yard with a variety of fruit trees: cherry, apple, pear, and plum! This house may be a perfect spot for weddings and outdoor parties as the work continues to improve landscaping. It is bordered on one side by a beautiful hay field!

Quaint country home
Really enjoyed our stay. Crystal was very communicative and helpful. Property was less than15 minutes out of places we went in Walla Walla and was very easy to find and get to. We had a DD, so even after the tastings and dinners, we had no issue with being out of the downtown and in fact, preferred it. We spent two nights and enjoyed it tremendously. Crystal was a perfect host and her small home was not fancy but obviously set up with great care and just what we needed. We hope to be back. Thanks Crystal!
Relaxing in the country!
We enjoyed our stay and hope to come again in the future. Very relaxing country feel. Our beloved Corgi didn't want to leave!
Beautiful historic home, awesome host
We had a ladies wine weekend and this house could not have been more perfect! Full of charm and LOTS of space. Everything was clean and comfortable, and the host even brought over more coffee filters when we did not have any! Wonderful experience, and so nice to have some space rather than be stuck in town/a neighborhood.
idyllic country home away form home
The cottage was very comfy for our weekend which included hosting a couples wedding shower. The spacious yard and deck were just wonderful for our guests to relax and enjoy the activities. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, bowls, utensils. The beds were as comfortable as our beds at home, how lovely to be well-rested! Thanks for sharing your home with us, we really enjoyed it!
Charming Country Stay
We loved staying at Crystal's! Such a charming place. Crystal thought of everything. Fluffy towels, comfy beds, all the sundries (even q-tips!). The house worked perfectly for our group, especially with the beds upstairs. The lawn was wonderful for our dog and we enjoyed the raspberry bushes! We would highly recommend staying.
Charming farm house great location.
This house was the perfect location for our visit to Walla Walla. We loved the beautiful back yard, wonderful spring flowers and abundance of birds singing sweetly. We loved our early morning coffee on the porch and our evening barbecues as we watched the colorful sunsets over the field. The House was clean, very comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Close to several good wineries too. I enjoyed a very peaceful sunrise run through the quiet farm neighborhood.
This house is centrally located between two towns with many attractions, breweries, wineries, eateries and other attractions. This house is located less than 1 mile from one of the few remaining Drive-In Movie Theaters, Milton Freewater Drive-In. Some of my personal favorites activities include Dragon's Gate Brewery, Blue Mountain Cidery, Bennington and Harris Parks, Feliciano de Castillo Winery, seasonal festivals, Milton Freewater Aquatics Center, Walla Walla Drag Strip (car racing), Fort Walla Walla Museum, Power House Theatre, Farmer's Market, and much more!
