I live in Rock Hall and I have much pride in renting quality, clean, and comfortable properties to people who come to enjoy the Rock Hall Maryland area. I have over 40 years experience in contracting and rentals.
Rick purchased this apartment in 2005
Right on Main Street! Owner-managed property. Rock Hall is a fantastic small town on the Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay. This vistorian house captures the essence of the eclectic nature of Rock Hall and surrounding Kent County area, while also being just a 15 minute drive to the town of Chestertown.
This house is about a two hour drive from Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. so an easy weekend place to get away from the hustle of every day life demands.
We love families and couples and reunions, sailors, boaters, and hunters.
First floor apartment overlooking Main Street. A short walk to all Rock Hall has to offer!
Options to rent this and upstairs unit (VRBO #409821) for larger family needs.
Lovely apartment. Walking distance to everything. We even walked to Easter mass at St. John’s Church. Well maintained and very clean and spacious. The only reason for only 3 stars is because the bed was extremely uncomfortable and SO squeaky. The bedding was also not up to par. We tried the pullout sofa bed, and that was no better. I really loved the place, but wished I could have gotten better sleep.
Convenient apartment in lovely Victorian house on Main Street in Rock Hall. Very spacious, well kept, and comfortable. Right across the street from coffee shop, 1/2 block to ice cream shop.
We thoroughly our visit. The unit was nice and the location was great.
Had a nice weekend in Rock Hall. Centrally located, clean, and as advertised!
Prior to our stay we were given lots of information by Rick and he was helpful enough to give us check-in details long before our visit as we were moving around and weren't sure of our internet connection in the week prior to visiting Rock Hall. This was just the start of the helpfulness Rick and Patsy showed us.
Once arrived the ground floor accommodation as just as in the pictures, although even more impressive in real life - especially the porch where we ate all our meals. The kitchen is well stocked and includes a dishwasher, although we didn't use it, and makes it easy to cook your own meals if you want to. There is also a laundry room with washer and dryer which we made use of during our stay. Our kids stayed in the queen room which faces the side and rear of the house with walk in wardrobe. We stayed in the pull out in the lounge - it was quite comfortable and usefully you can put it away with all the bedding still on it (minus pillows) so it isn't a faff to put the bedding on each night. There was plenty of off street parking available and the wifi was fast enough to stream netflix (at the same time as the people upstairs were) which kept us happy.
Patsy was very helpful, saying Hi to us as we walked past the other property nearby and popping over to ask how our day had been if she was walking past the house and we were out on the porch. She was happy to give us advice on where to eat, the best places to get local crabs, beaches and parks for the kids, and local events that were going on during our stay.
Overall we had a wonderful relaxing week in Rock Hall and would recommend it to anyone wanting a quiet vacation with good food and a really nice place to stay.
Clean, comfortable , spacious house. Nicely remodeled and equipt. Delightful front porch on Main St. Walking distance to shops, some restaurants. Rock Hall connects to towns along Eastern Shore to visit and to Bay Bridge. Not a lot open in "off season" but still charming visit to small town America.
Rock Hall, Maryland is the "Pearl of the Chesapeake". We welcome you to our wonderful town on the Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay. Festivals, hunting, fishing, swimming, sailing, kayaking, biking, sunning, restaurants, shopping, beach, we have it all, without the crowds and with all the charm!
