About Iain and Amy Macaskill
It's the very essence of 'getting away from it all', and if you love the outdoors, and wildlife, you'll really love the abundance of peace and wildlife this area of Scotland has to offer.

Why Iain and Amy Macaskill chose Acharacle
I come from the highlands and have been living and working on and off this area for 30+ years. But for us this area is magical, and there is few places to compare to it in Scotland. We love with the house and it's location, we live not far away and can be available to help you if something comes up. Although we fully expect you to have a great holiday. The coast is near at hand, with the local beach and castle, merely a short trip down river, 3 miles! The location also benefits from being away from the hustle and bustle, but yet has all the facilities a you might need close by and to hand, well stocked shop and post office, excellent doctor surgery, busy garage, pub, tea room, chippy, several good quality local restaurants. The property has seating in both the living and dinning rooms for eight. Kitchen is well equipped and offers a rangemaster hob and oven, full laundry facilities, breakfast bar. The living room has great views over the loch, a wood burning stove, (firewood provided) Sky tv & wifi. Separate from the house there is a new games room for the kids, (and big kids!!). It has seating and heating, Xbox360, wii, and a darts board. Outside there's a spacious garden, with trees and shrubs. There's a barbeque, and two patios. One at the front overlooking the views of the loch, and one at the back with a roof shelter, accessed through glass doors from the dinning room and kitchen. There's a family feel about the place and we know people will love their holiday's here.
What makes this Bungalow unique
Excellent wildlife and local history on your doorstep! In terms of wild life from regular sightings of our local swans, eagles and deer! to trips over to the inner hebrides to see porpoises, dolphins, puffins and even minke whales. The area has a rich local history, from the Macdonalds, Clan Ranald, to Prince Charlie, you can learn all about it from the local Moidart history group based beside Glen Uig shop.
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
Just what the Doctor ordered. Casual day trips, views to die for and great house.
