About Laura Stewart
I am originally from Michigan (Go MSU!!) and moved to Idaho to raise my family (Yeay BSU!!). A school teacher with a love of travel and meeting people. I am outgoing, active, and artistic. My latest artistic talents have been with glass. I enjoy yoga, hiking, time to get lost in my house doing my art, my bike, and time with those I love.
Laura Stewart purchased this House in 2015
Why Laura Stewart chose La Salina
The sun, the beach, the many treasures to explore! This area is a spring board to some amazing wine country. Be ready to take a few dirt roads and taste some exceptional wine, eat amazing food, and soak up some sea air! Two necessary stops are Nativo and Vena Cava for wine and Magana's and K-38 for food. Just to get you started.
What makes this House unique
Mornings with a cup of coffee on the roof make for a beautiful start of the day. This area is an excellent starting point for travels in any direction. The wine country has become my current love. Be ready to explore. Get off the main road and try a mysterious dirt road with a simple sign directing you to a winery you have never heard it! Wonderful people at the end of it! Be sure to say Hi to Benjamin at Nativo!! A late night stroll watching the sun set and an evening campfires wrap the day up. There is a tv and movies are remember to unplug and try something new!

Great House in La Salina, located in a quiet gated beach side community.
Great house with beach access across the street. Ocean views from the roof top deck.
Perfect location to launch to Ensenada for a day trip or for fun in the Wine Country.
The La Salina Cantina is a 10 minute walk. The Cantina has great food, friendly staff, and an outside patio area.
Highly recommend staying at Laura's house!
Laura's home is very comfortable. The yard and roof top view spectacular. The neighborhood folks and staff at the Cantina are beyond words. Fortunate enough to spend a long visit and it felt like home. The area is very special. Thank you for everything!
No electricity, water, had to travel 10 miles to the closest and open restaurant to use restroom!
The house is nice but the second day we had no electricity, water, no use of restrooms stove or fridge. Reached out to owner about a discount for that day and no response what so ever.
Perfect home in the perfect place
We really loved our time at Laura's thank you so much for everything
Wonderful clean house in a gated beach community
We had a great time staying at Laura's house. Spent most of the days down at the beach and or visiting Ensenada and local Vineyards. At night, we hung out outside and had a nice bonfire one evening. Great time was had by all!
So glad you explored the vineyards! Hidden treasures! Welcome back any time. L.
Great family get away
My family had a nice get away here. The beach was just across the street, and the beaches we had all to ourselves maybe a couple other families. We loved being able to be so close we could play at the beach and easily walk back to go eat lunch and walk right back. We felt safe and the neighbors were nice. The neighborhood is gated too which was great. There were five of us so the house was perfect size. We loved watching the sunset over the ocean from the roof and we watched movies at night in the tv area. Laura was very helpful and friendly and responds very quickly to questions. We would love to go there again. Stop in Rosarito on your way down for groceries, there is not much close by but we loved that, it wasn't crowded or lots of traffic. I would recommend.
So glad you picked up groceries on the way. I try to stress that fact. The house is away from it all, but so close to it all in the same regard. Glad you enjoyed that fact. Welcome back any time! You have to check out the cheese cave!
There are Baja travel books to help your exploration of this amazing area. I would HIGHLY recommend the Vinicola (Wine Country), there are maps and suggestions in the house binder - I would be happy to arrange a wonderful itinerary to give you an in depth look into some of the wineries. There are many unique places! Some suggested places are Nativo, Vena Cava, and Popotla.
