Luxury one bedroom apartment with kitchen in the heart of South Beach. Wi-Fi and hi speed broadband are provided free of charge. Located in The Carlyle an iconic Art Deco building at 1250 Ocean Drive. The Carlyle has featured in movies such as Scarface & The Birdcage and was recently refurbished to a high standard. There's a front desk which is staffed at all times. This stunning self-catering luxury apartment is 965sq ft and beautifully furnished with designer furniture and a clean contemporary look. The well equipped kitchen includes a range of stainless steel integrated appliances,washer & dryer. There's a dining area that seats four. The spacious bedroom features a luxurious king size bed with matching nightstand's, blackout blinds and a large Californian closet. The bathroom has twin sinks, bidet and a massive walk in shower. The living space includes a sofa, armchair, pouf, coffee table, a Sony Smart TV with over 90 cable channels including HBO and Showtime and access to Netflix etc, Wi-Fi and fast broadband connection. The air conditioning is excellent & quiet.

sane oasis during spring break

We had a great time here.

It is more spacious than the photos show and it is of the highest quality.

We had a chance to walk the beach, actually everywhere, take free trollies, do touristy things and then come back to our sane comfortable oasis . That it was spring break didn't detract from our time in South Beach. Where we stayed was easy to get to, recharge, and then leave from to continue our vacation adventure. There are plenty of good restaurants of all kinds in close proximity.

The owner Mark could not have been more receptive and caring . He wanted us to be happy.

The concierge, Lilian and her staff were so helpful ,supportive and caring.

I would book this for my daughter and her guy, my son and his gal and we would definitely come back without hesitation.

This is a gem. Again , we had a great time

Spacious and modern apartment

We had a shortened 2 night stay at The Carlyle due to a medical emergency back home. But we enjoyed our short stay. Most of the stay was positives, with one negative.

First, the positives: The apartment is as described. Very modern and clean. Plenty of room for my wife and I. The bathroom had 2 separate sinks and a large walk-in shower. The kitchen had all we needed (though we only ate breakfast in). The Carlyle is smack in the middle of the Art Deco district. It really is a neat area to be in. The cafe in the front was hopping with activity, as were the street front cafe's on either side. We didn't eat at the Carlyle cafe, but we did have an ok lunch at the Leslie hotel next door. All the cafe's within a few blocks hawk their meals to people walking by, offering discounts to eat there. No big deal to us, but we sometimes had to explain to the hawkers that we're just staying here thank you. There are numerous restaurants within walking distance of the hotel, though sadly we didn't get a chance to eat at many of them due to our shortened trip.

Mark was a good host and provided great recommendations for restaurants for all meals, along with things to do. There are beach towels, 2 beach chairs and a beach umbrella for guests to use.

The negative: The apartment is on the 2nd floor (of 3) and overlooking 13th Street. Most of the time this was not an issue. Occasionally we might hear a group of loud people walking by and talking, but this was not frequent and during the evening. And the vehicle traffic on 13th at Ocean Drive isn't heavy, so there was not a lot of street noise. But we were awakened around 7 am (yes not early, but we were on vacation) our last morning to a food delivery truck that parked right outside our window and began unloading food for delivery. The truck was there for at least 30 minutes. I bring this up only to set expectations. I would still stay here... in fact I would like to go back and finish my shortened trip.

Overall I was very pleased with this apartment and we would definitely stay here again.

Restaurants we ate at: Grillfish for dinner was very good. Spiga Ristorante was also good for dinner. We had an outside table on the left side where it was romantic and quiet. We had lunch at The Clevelander and had a great hamburge.

Great south beach condo

This condo was spacious and light. Located in the Carlyle, a lovely art deco building on 2nd floor right in the heart of south beach. Citibikes for rent on the side street adjacent to the Carlyle. It's just a short block to a gorgeous bike path along the ocean. Fun restaurants all along Ocean Drive to enjoy. Had a wonderful time!

Perfect location, great condo for 2

Ocean Drive at the front door, Collins and Washington in view from the condo - what could be better? The beach, The Front Porch Cafe, Pane & Vino, Espaniola Way and Lincoln Rd are mere steps away. South of Fifth is a comfortable walk. The condo is clean and well kept, the owner quickly responsive and the desk staff is very helpful. The bedroom is spacious, room for dressing, closet space and access. The bed is comfortable, linens are of good quality and black out shades were welcomed in sunny Sobe.

Wonderful and clean

It was a wonderful one bedroom apt (Property ID 84567) with all the amenities needed to make my stay at the Flamingo Lummus a memorable experience. The apt was clean and well lit with a tremendous amount of lighting, both natural and conventional. The windows were double insulated keeping the noise from outside from coming into the apt. The bedroom and bathroom was huge. All the appliances were modern and up to date. The owner Mark was very informative and responsive.

In a quiet central location at 1250 Ocean Drive, South Beach Miami. All the attractions of South Beach are within a short walking distance of The Carlyle whether you are interested in the beach, superb restaurants, trendy bars & clubs, designer shopping, the beautiful Art Deco architecture or just people watching there is always something to do in South Beach. The Carlyle is a block away from the famous Versace Mansion and The Setai, Shore Club, Delano, W South Beach and Nikki Beach are all nearby. Vibrant Lincoln Road with its restaurants, galleries, theatres and upmarket boutiques is easily accessible as is The Miami Beach Convention Center which hosts Art Basel and the Miami Intl Boat show. A car is not essential but reasonably priced parking is available less than 40 yards away. It is a short drive to the Port of Miami, Downtown, championship golf courses & to the shopping malls of Bal Harbor & Aventura.

Other Activities: the beach, gym, designer shopping, restaurants, bars, clubs, cinema, Miami Beach convention center.

A booking deposit of 50% of the total rental amount is required to confirm the booking. Payment is only accepted by means of a debit/credit card payment via the website or a bank/PayPal transfer in US dollars. The remaining 50% is payable at check in. A full refund of the booking deposit less a $30 administration fee will be given if cancelled not less than 15 days before the check in date.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 7 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if canceled at least 14 days before arrival date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
