Comfortable, convenient and helpful!
Our family of 4 stayed here for 3 weeks and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. With Blenheim and Woodstock only steps away, the location is tough to beat!
Great location, charming cottage.
Thank you Linda and Clive for your lovely cottage. The accommodation was perfect for our family of 6, fortunately our numbers diminished through to week to just 2. The weather was very hot so the outside space was handy (table very wobbly). Fantastic location to visit Woodstock, Blenheim Palace, and we really enjoyed Rousham Gardens.
A very enjoyable stay, thank you.
This cottage is perfect in every way if you are looking for the ideal English cottage in a picture-perfect location. Everything is within walking distance: pubs, cafes, post office, co-op...a palace! It is an ideal location to make day trips out of the sites that the southern portion of England offers. Woodstock offers quick access to the train station in Oxford to make travel into London easy. The evenings were spent just walking the sidewalks of Woodstock to enjoy the sounds of the pubs and the aesthetic the personality of this historical town.
Charming little period cottage in a convenient but busy location. Not very 'dog friendly
This is an excellent property, but only if you are going to be out for most of your time, as not much leisure space in the cottage and the tiny 'patio' area was inadequate and in need of attention ie; very overgrown with poor seating. Not suitable for letting dog out to pee etc.as there is a vehicle access lane between cottage and patio.
Also a bit cramped for 5 adults with only one bath/shower facility.
We thoroughly enjoyed Woodstock and the surrounding area though, and will holiday again in the locality.
Cosy Cotswold Cottage
This cosy dog-friendly cottage is very well located in the beautiful town of Woodstock , with excellent facilities and 3 decent bedrooms .Close to a variety of good pubs / restaurants and only a stroll away from the gardens of Blenheim Palace. The only hassle is lack of parking , which prevented me from giving a 5 star review - on street parking with time limits ( ie can only park for between 1-3 hours ) or municipal carpark which is often full .
Fabulous Peacock Cottage
Perfect cottage in more ways than one! Peacock Cottage was spacious, exceptionally warm and very easy to live in. The shower/wet room was really lovely.
Perfect location for Blenheim Palace, which I visited twice daily to walk my dog and even better finish walkies with a coffee local cafe whom accept dogs and in the evening glass of something nice in many of the bars! Bus service is on the doorstep and very frequent to get in and out of Oxford.
Owner of Peacock cottage was also very flexible with exit time and check in which really helped me out. I would definitely recommend a stay here it was like home from home.
Will return if my building work on our purchase becomes too stressful to put up with 😂
Thank you so much from Sharon Kevin and Boots Rayson (our Weimaraner )
Woodstock is an ancient market town in Oxfordshire, England on the river Glyme, 8 miles North West of Oxford. Woodstock is well placed as a base for visiting the Cotswolds, Stratford-upon-Avon (the birth place of William Shakespeare), Oxford's glorious colleges and great shops and it's an easy trip to London. Woodstock has long been known for it's manufacture of gloves and the town dates back to Anglo-Saxon origins and at one time had a Royal Palace which stood in the what is now Blenheim Park, the seat of the Duke of Marlborough. Today Woodstock has many small and unique shops plus a bank, chemist, traditional butcher and well stocked supermarket for your everyday needs.
Little Peacock House is an ideal location for the many Blenheim Park events that take place throughout the year. Although full of history, Woodstock is a sophisticated town providing a superb shopping and dining experience - in fact we think that Woodstock is one of the country’s ‘best kept secrets’!
