About Joe and Geena Kejr
We live in the house Joe grew up in only a mile away from the home we are making available to you. It has been a family members home for 38 years and we just purchased it to keep it in the family. We are proud to be involved in production agriculture and grow wheat, corn, soybeans and sorghum.
Joe and Geena Kejr purchased this Farmhouse in 2016
Why Joe and Geena Kejr chose Brookville
We bought this property because of the history and heritage of this home and of it being a family member's home. This home was originally owned by the Beach family and so for many years it was called the Beach House before our family moved into it making it their home. We are proud to honor the original owners by calling it the Kansas Beach House.
What makes this Farmhouse unique
The unique qualities of this house are it's wrap around porch with a swing to enjoy the Kansas breeze and the view. The screened in porch let's you take enjoyment of the area outside with a meal or relaxation in the shade of the home.

Fantastic In Every Way!
Our family was coming from various states for a special weekend and we were looking for a place to stay together instead of being in multiple hotel rooms with no gathering place or kitchen. I was delighted to find this farm house with plenty of room for 12 of us to stay together plus for more family to join us during the day.
The home is immaculate. The owner has thought of so many extra touches to make your stay more comfortable - big, fluffy towels; very soft sheets; comfortable beds; coffee pods for the Keurig; a bag of ice in the freezer and so much more! She was available for any and all questions and very quick with responding.
We loved the large, wrap around porch with lots of seating and spent many hours out there enjoying the beautiful evening and each others company.
We had several young people staying in the basement and the bins marked with appropriate bedding were a huge help for making up the provided air mattresses.
This is home we would love to use again when in the area for a family get together. The owners are extremely nice and helpful and were a delight to work with. I can't say enough positive things about this home and the owners. Thanks to you, and your home, we had a truly wonderful weekend.
It was great having Mary and her family stay in our home away from home. And upon visiting with them one evening we found out that we know people in common, even an elementary school classmate, one of 10 in my class that now lives in Alaska! What a small world and a delight to have them find us and come together from several states. We hope it works for you to come back sometime!
Peaceful, relaxing, watching stars, and swinging time on the porch!!
We went for our annual Sister’s trip with our Mother which was centrally located for us all to travel to. This was just a different perspective of a time in our lives when we all lived on the prairie. Walks along the road, fields surrounding us, birds chirping in the morning, watching stars in the evening and a storm rolling in with a light show made for wonderful memories. Crafting, quilting, binge watching movies were more activities we shared. Geena gave us a wonderful history on the property as well as showing us the multi purpose building with a full kitchen which is used for wedding venues. Very large rooms to spread out and relax in a marvelous get a way retreat. My favorite and definitely a selling point for me, was the wrap around porch!! Love, love, love.
It was so fun to have these sisters and mother stay and get to know them and where they all came from. The common town in South Dakota was a fun feature to talk about. These ladies treated our home with care like it was theirs. They left me one of their craft creations that I will proudly display on the appropriate holidays. Thanks for finding us and spending your girl time at the Kansas Beach!
The property feels very secluded, yet it is just a short distance from Salina. Wish it would have been warmer to enjoy the outdoor porch and swing. Everything you need is right at your fingertips.
The McCray Family
Your family is invited back again. You treated our home as if it were yours. We are so glad we were a middle meeting place for your family to celebrate Christmas. Have a wonderful 2018!
Our stay over Christmas was exactly what we wanted and needed. There were 13 who stayed in the house and were very comfortable. The house was equipped with everything you'd want. We'd stay here again in a heart beat. Geena was very nice, friendly and easy to work with. There was very good communication. Thanks again for a wonderful stay at your "Beach House". Loved it!!
Your family was great to have around to use our Beach house for your Christmas celebration. If it ever works again for us to host you, let us know!
Blessings on 2018.
I stayed here with a large group of high school students, to attend an Ecomeet competition in Salina. The house was a delightful combination of old-fashioned, natural beauty and modern comfort, and was impeccably clean. We loved the expansive porch, the country solitude, the comfortable and spacious living areas, and the luxurious beds. I had 9 girls in the basement on air mattresses that Geena provided - These air mattresses were the nicest I've ever seen, and aired up so easily with pumps. She had beautiful bed linens in plastic tubs, and everything was clearly labeled, simplifying the process. The appliances, pans, and dishes were all of such quality, plentiful, and sparkling clean. I lacked absolutely nothing. This is the nicest place I've ever stayed, and Geena's family is just as nice. Stay here, you won't be disappointed!
It was our pleasure to have you as guests. I hope your students preformed well at the competition. You were very easy to communicate with.
Come be guests again sometime.
Great place for a long weekend
The Kansas Beach House was the perfect place for some of our family to gather, hang out and make some fun memories. We had 6 adults and 6 kids and the space was perfect. Everyone had room to spread out. The kids enjoyed the play station in the basement and they also had fun exploring and playing in the yard. We all enjoyed the porch and spent a lot of time there! Geena & Joe are awesome and were very accommodating, they made sure we had all of the comforts of home. We made a trip to Kanopolis State Park, Mushroom Rock State Park and the Rolling Hills Zoo. All of these were very nice and we would recommend all of them!
The Beach House is a mile away from our production agriculture home and operation where we are a 4 generation farm family in this location. We would love to share our love of the land and the many benefits of living in the rural setting. You most likely will see fantastic sunrises and sunsets. The potential of seeing whitetail deer, turkey, pheasants and other wildlife is great as you enjoy the surroundings.
Rolling Hills Zoo and Museum is 6 miles away. It is a favorite destination for many people in the area. Please look it up on the internet to learn more about it.
During the summer many people like to cool down by going to Kenwood Cove, our local water park with a lazy river and other activities.
If you come during the right week in June (9-12, 2016) you can enjoy the Smoky Hill River Festival that has many arts, crafts and musical
Salina has many great restaurants some that are unique to our area are, Bogeys, Cozy Inn, Scheme Pizza, Martinelli's, Tucson's Steak House, Daimaru Japanese Steak House and many other typical places to find something to eat.
