Come enjoy the beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains and relax in the comfort of our cozy log cabin. We are nestled conveniently off the spur between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. This is a great place for a romantic getaway or a family vacation. You can relax by a fire in the stack stone fireplace, doze in the rocking chairs on the covered porch or soak in the hot tub.
The cabin is beautifully decorated with all the conveniences of home and features three stained glass windows. We have two bedrooms each with a king bed. There are two full baths, one with a whirlpool tub.
Hi Wayne! First let me thank you for talking Tammie and I to the cabin Friday night. That was quite the adventure! The girls all had a wonderful weekend and could not say enough how beautiful your cabin was. I think a returned trip to your cabin is In our future. Thank you again for sharing this wonderful place.
PS. We did look at the fireplace at the end of the drive. What is the history of it?
Spent 9 days in this cabin hidden in the mountains between Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge and loved every moment of it. This place is tastefully done and had everything we needed or wanted. It was a joy to come back to at the end of the day. I certainly would love to go back to it in the future. The owners are a pleasure to work with also.
We rented the cabin for a two night stay while taking our grandson to Dollywood. The cabin was perfect for us. He loved the foosball table and the hot tub. The front porch was perfect for relaxing. The cabin was well equipped with everything that we needed. I read one of the reviews before staying here that said that there was no "starter kit" of supplies, so I took extra with me. When we arrived there was plenty of everything that we needed. The housekeeper had done a great job of cleaning and we were overall very pleased with the experience. We would definitely stay again.
We really enjoyed our visit, it was a bit of a struggle to find after dark so make sure to check in during daylight hours during the day we had no problems getting in and out. Very convenient location and very peaceful love that it's pet friendly as well. Unit was clean and had every thing you need to enjoy your stay. Cabin is private although there are cabins near by it's just a really great vacation rental.
My only complaint was there was no tv in the down stairs bedroom and the loft bed was although huge was not very comfortable at all. Other than that you couldn't ask for a better place to stay. The porch is amazing and so peaceful at night and in the mornings, we spent most of our time on it. Our kids really enjoyed their visit as well so it was a great trip! Thanks for sharing your beautiful vacation home with us we hope to return in the fall for a longer visit.
We got to the cabin and we were looking for privacy and there are cabins close but it was still private. The cabin was clean and homey and the owners were terrific people who were helpful and the most delightful people to talk with. We will definitely be staying there every trip to the pigeon forge we take. We've found our spot and will stick with it. Thank you guys so much!!!
We really enjoyed our time at Bears Den. The cabin is beautiful and everything we were expecting. Our daughter and 5 week old grandson went with us and we all had a wonderful time. We are looking forward to a repeat stay.
We were really looking forward to a great Christmas vacation and from the pictures of the cabin we couldn't wait to get there. We drove 800 miles that day and were welcomed to a porch and front door full of old leaves - not a welcoming first impression when you have to wade through a bunch of mess. When we got inside the cabin was nice.
The Hale's knew we would be having 4 guests and we had five towels and two was cloths for our six night stay. There was no dish soap and one dish cloth.
The master bath shower head was broken (around the pipe threads) and spewed water all up the wooden wall upwards to the ceiling. There was no toilet paper except the 1/2 roll that was on the roll when we arrived. None of the outlets worked in the bathrooms and we had to style our hair in the bedroom without a mirror.
The upstairs bathtub would not drain and by the time you finished your shower you were standing in about 7 inches of dirty water. It took about an hour for it to empty when you were done. The hot tub had an odor and I wouldn't use it and the chlorinator was empty the whole time we were there.
We contacted the owners on day two of our trip and let them know about all of the problems above. We were told where to reset the breaker and we were able to get the outlets to work in the bathrooms. We had to reset the breakers multiple times while we were there as they kept tripping. They did send someone to blow off the leaves from the porch. We were told that there were extra towels and toilet paper in the bathrooms but there was none.
Unfortunately the owners did not make any arrangements to fix any of the problems while we were a guest. The only option we had from them was to check out by 1:00 p.m. that day. This only gave us two hours notice when I read their follow-up email and if we did leave they would refund the remainder of our trip. This option was unfeasible.
There is a beautiful fireplace but be aware that you have to supply your own fire wood so make prior arrangements to have someone deliver before you arrive if you will be there in the winter!
