Welcome to our condo “House in the Trees” situated within a premier gated community amidst the magnificent north Georgia mountains. Please make yourself at home. It is a smartly decorated one bedroom, one bathroom that will comfortably sleep four guests. The large den has a great stone fireplace with an adjoining dining room. The screened in deck overlooks the golf course holes number 4 to the left, natural forest in the center and hole number 5 to the right. This is our weekend “get away” for most anytime of the year. The unit was completely renovated in 2015 to include new paint throughout, updated kitchen appliances, granite counter tops, hardwood floors, screened in the deck, and installed a new washer and dryer. We have a queen bed in the bedroom. The leather sofa in the living room folds out to make a comfortable queen bed. We also have a hammock on the deck, so relax, kick back and enjoy.

About Billy & Drenda Smith
We are retired. We purchased this unit for a weekend get away and only recently decided to share it with our renters. Our grand-daughters named the place when they entered the condo for the first time. Entry to our unit is on a ramp that leads to the front door, giving the impression you are actually in 25 feet or so up in the trees, hence, "House in the Trees."
Billy & Drenda Smith purchased this Condo in 2014
Why Billy & Drenda Smith chose Jasper
House in the Trees is a unique condo located on the opposite side of the building from the parking lot. We actually overlook the golf course, rather than the parking lot. Our views are of the course, mountains and wilderness.
What makes this Condo unique
The real wood burning fireplace is definitely a focal point in the den. It is floor to ceiling hand crafted by master stone masons. The screened in porch offers great outdoors with out the bugs. For a real touch of outdoor living, be sure to make use of the hammock stretched out across the porch.

Great place for 2 to stay in Big Canoe
Close to the amenities, nicely furnished, clean, fully stocked. Highly recommend for 2 people. There’s a sleep couch, but the bathroom is off the bedroom so not ideal for 3.
Great spot in a beautiful area! The place was perfect for the two of us. We enjoyed getting out on a few really pretty hikes, paddle boating and eating at some of the nearby restaurants. The unit was clean, comfortable and quiet and the owner was helpful, responsive, kind and super accommodating before and during our entire stay. Highly recommended!
Our family of four got to spend 5 days at this place. Billy remained in constant contact with us and made sure we had all the information needed to have a comfortable stay. We had some challenges with the internet and Billy offered to drive and come and help address the issue which was very thoughtful. The place does sleep four - however it is quite small and may feel slightly cramped. All the amenities were as described and we had no problem whatsoever. One thing to be aware the condominium of the 400s is at a bit of an incline as you drive to get to this unit. If coming at night - you may need to not only be careful driving in the roads of Big Canoe but particularly getting to this unit/location. All in all was a good experience.
Found the condo to be very well appointed and very comfortable. We would certainly recommend this to any of our friends at any time.
Very Clean, Super Comfortable, Perfect for a Couple's Getaway
This was our second stay and we were as impressed as the first time. This is a VERY clean condo in the perfect setting. We slept like babies in the super comfy bed. One of our favorite spots is the screened porch. Coffee in the morning watching the sunrise is heavenly. And, we had a rainy afternoon in the hammocks...perfect!
The setting is amazing, nestled in the woods on the golf course. We loved being minutes from the marina. We spent time on the lake all weekend and loved how friendly and helpful everyone at the marina was. There are new boats this year and they are lovely. The hiking trails are gorgeous and the waterfalls should not be missed.
We travelled on our own, but there is plenty for the whole family to do! There were lots of activities at the beach and pools. The rock slide (something I went down as a child) was busy all weekend. There are canoes, kayaks, paddleboards and more at each of the lakes.
Billy and Drenda are perfect hosts! They are quick to respond and go the extra mile to make sure you have everything you need. These are the best hosts we have encountered in our years of traveling this way. We will make this a regular getaway and will stay with Billy and Drenda every time!
Beautiful cozy condo in the woods.
We had a long weekend stay at this wonderful condo in Big Canoe. It had all the amenities we needed. We particularly enjoyed the quiet of the condo complex and location. It was very close to the clubhouse and Black Bear Pub which we loved. We will definitely come back!
