What a great accommodation!
We have booked the house for a party of 11 adults from Germany for a week of Golf and Sightseeing. The house exceeded our expectations. It had everything you need and it has location, location, location... Parking was fine for 5 cars and the beds were great for a good sleep.
Very spacious and well equipped house, even had beach toys and indoor games. Bird bingo a big hit with both the adults and children!
It was very good. We were 8 adults, 6 children between 9 and 3 and two babies in cots. There were one or two little hitches - fridge ice maker did not work - Door loose on crockery cupboard, which we fixed. Door latch got stuck in one of the GF rooms (LHS back by stairs) with a baby inside. Inserted a knife through the beading and released the catch!
We would stay again!
Everything you need for a family get together
Great place with fantastic views. Perfect for a big family get together. Mawgan Porth beach is perfect for the kids, both young and old and has everything you need without being too crowded. Could easily have stayed longer
This us a fabulous property well able to properly accommodate 14 people with great space for all inside and out and the beds and linen are super comfy!
We celebrated a 50th birthday with 10 adults and a baby and all enjoyed the space, views and location. Great to have flexibility of two functional kitchens and 3 fridge/freezers!! Easily parked 5 cars. A small point but agree with other reviews that needs more large cooking pots (induction hobs btw) and some mugs would be a good addition - but lots of utensils, crockery and glasses already supplied. The table tennis is a great addition - much competitive fun in evenings.
The views are awesome and constantly changing with the sky and tide - the advantage of being at the top of the village - and the walk up from beach/village is manageable for all averagely fit people with various routes, some steeper than others (find the shortcut through the small wood).
An added bonus is the ‘dark sky’ status of the area so the night sky’s are amazing for star gazing! Easy walk on coastal path to Bedruthan Steps and National Trust cafe if want some alternate exercise and change of view.
Facilities in village are great - everything you could need with village shop, Merrymore pub, chip shop (fab chips) and a great restaurant ‘The Catch’ that has superb oysters and an excellent menu with friendly service - must try the Sri Lankan fish curry.
Amy was an excellent host with super speedy communications throughout and lots of suggestions on things to do and see - always on hand and super friendly if ever had any queries.
A glorious property and a fantastic place for a fully relaxing stay. Definitely recommended - go enjoy!
Brilliant house for family celebration
We spent Easter week here to celebrate my father in law’s 80th. The house catered perfectly for three generations- from 80 to 13.
Fantastic idea to have two kitchens with huge amounts of fridge and freezer space for large parties. There was plenty of crockery and glassware but we really could have done with a few more pans!
Thank you for making a special occasion even more lovely.
