About the property

We offer our guests a spacious suite (without a fully equipped kitchen) on the ground level of our house with a private entrance. The suite consists of one bedroom with a comfortable queen size bed, living room with a wet bar, bathroom with a walk-in shower and a private screened porch overlooking the Blue Valley and three states (NC, SC and GA). The suite is a part of our house. We live in the upper level of the house year-round.

There is a staircase from the carport area to the lower level leading to the rental suite.

The views from this suite and the porch are truly spectacular! We doubt that you can find a better view in Highlands. We are just 2 miles from the Old Edwards Inn and Main Street in a tranquil, quiet neighborhood.

The suite is about 900 square feet and is ideal for a couple or a single guest. We do not offer a fully equipped kitchen, but we provide a coffee maker with coffee and filters, toaster, tea kettle as well as plates and utensils. The suite has a compact refrigerator, a microwave and a wet bar with wine glasses.

Highlands has a number of great restaurants with wonderful take-out options. You are welcome to bring your take-out lunch or dinner and enjoy it in your suite or in the screened porch that provides a lovely alternative dining area or simply a place to enjoy refreshments while watching the colorful sky against the western sunset – usually accompanied by a gentle mountain breeze.

We love our home and maintain this suite well. You will find it clean and airy.

Our guests' privacy is very important to us, but we are here if our guests need anything. Guests are responsible for contacting us in advance to coordinate a mutually agreeable arrival time.

AT&T provides cellular service in our neighborhood (outside of our house). Inside of our rental suite you can use FREE Wi-Fi Calling or our landline. All local and long-distance calls are free. Most mobile carriers support Wi-Fi Calling (you can make and receive Wi-Fi calls on your mobile device and it is FREE). Our INTERNET is NOT fast, only about 2.9 Mbps.

Unfortunately, we do not allow pets. We have two dogs ourselves (though they are not allowed in the guest suite). We can recommend several good local kennels that our dogs seem to accept fairly well. Our four-legged family members are friendly with guests and they generally are not barkers.

About The Owner

In part because we have traveled to many destinations for work and leisure, we believe in one of the main principles of hospitality - to treat others as we would wish to be treated ourselves. We would like our guests feel like home - welcome, comfortable and relaxed. Our rental suite is a part of our house. We live in upper level of the house year-round. We greatly respect our guests' privacy, but if visitors need any recommendations or information about what to do in Highlands, we will be happy to share our knowledge. We love to hear back from our guests that they definitely want to come back to stay with us again.

Our stay was a short one but this property is spacious, clean and very comfortable. The views are so beautiful and the area very relaxing and peaceful. 😊� And the property owner Luba was super friendly.

We could not have asked for more; the suite was very clean and comfortable. We had morning coffee and evening wine from the screened porch overlooking the most spectacular scenery. Luba was the consumate hostess making sure everything was so convenient and easy for us. It was so relaxing; we loved everything about the suite!

Spacious, nice views, convenient and reasonable

Hosts were very nice and helpful. Comfortable bed. Sitting area was a little uncomfortable, especially if viewing a movie. Property is beautiful once you find it. We missed the turnoff twice, but third time found it. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would visit again.

We are happy that you found our rental suite to be spacious, beautiful and conveniently located to all important in town attractions. We always email to our guests driving instructions and encourage travelers to use them in our neighborhood, in addition to GPS (satellite) service. In the mountains, miles are longer and curvy roads can be confusing. Our sitting area in front of TV consists of two large arm chairs and a coffee table. We are glad that you were be able to select some movies from our DVD collection.

Great mountain view close to Highlands

The apartment was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The screened porch with its high mountain view was a great place to enjoy morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great mountain experience.
