1 Bed Apartment - Charter House School
Charter House School Serviced Apartments – Hull Serviced Apartments HSA, Hull
We had a lovely time in Hull and on the whole at this property. It was very well presented. Very clean and light and airy. One or two minor irritations though. There was no dishcloth or corkscrew, the cutlery could have been better and only 3 forks which for 2 people not a problem but on the other hand there were loads of spoons and plates. Only 1 glass tumbler, no wine glasses a all. The bed could have been more comfortable with extra pillows. Only 1 bath towel and 1 bath sheet. A small towel in the toilet would have been nice along with a bath mat. Sounds a lot but loved staying here and would definitely come again. Easy walking into town.
In the grounds of Hull Charterhouse, a Carthusian monastery and alms-house, is the former Charterhouse School. Built in 1881, the former Victorian board school was a two-storey segregated school.
Full of life and quirky characteristics, we fell in love with this Gothic-style building at first sight. Carefully restored, just outside the town’s original city walls, this central location is within easy reach of Hull’s amenities.
