Quiet and relaxing
Nice quiet area, the property we stayed in was imaculate, the views were beautidul and having the decking area securable so that our dog could roam in and out was a nice touch, bed was comfortable and all appliances were well maintained. Over all its was a nice quiet area where me and the missus could relax and just be with each other and our dog, or if we wanted we could socialise in their little restaurant/pub area.
We had a lovely stay in this quiet park. Our chalet was lovely, clean and well stocked with equipment. The bar was nice, with assortment of games and cd's that could be borrowed. The pizzas were really tasty.
The chalets where set out so that you did not feel other people were right on top of you.
The park was dog friendly but dog were not allowed to roam about, they had a field to be exercised in, and were not allowed to be left in the accommodation.
Finally like to say thet all the the staff were friendly and helpful.
A real gem
A really warm and welcoming place where our year old lab was as welcome and wanted as we were. Well equipped chalet with comfortable beds and a good bathroom. Well thought out kitchen with milk at and coffee already in situ ! Great dog exercise field just a few steps from the door. We will certainly return. Thank you making us and the pooch so welcome.
Loved this site. Chalets clean and modern. It was quiet and relaxing.
It was a wonderfully relaxing place to stay. The chalets are clean and modern. The view from our chalet daisy was stunning. Also catered for dogs with the field. Everyone is very friendly. Loved it
A few days away.
Perfect. Could not fault it at all. It had everything we needed & a few extras on top. Plus the view from the chalet was stunning. Would definitely recommend & return.
Fantastic little holiday park set with a beautiful vantage point over the valley and Combe Martin. Hosts were incredibly helpful and really friendly too. Great little bar offers a good selection of alcoholic and soft drink, as well as pizzas. DVD library, games, and BBQs all available to borrow from reception. Great place to take your dogs as they are also welcome in the bar area, and there is a large field next to the chalets where dogs can be exercised off lead. Seafront and village are walkable if you are relatively fit and healthy and don’t mind a steep hill. The chalets are modern, well equipped and spotless. In summary, this is a great little place to stay if you want somewhere to relax in peace, with a stunning view - so much so we booked up for another week later in the year!
North Devon has so much to offer through all seasons. The moor, the beaches, the villages, all ready to be explored and enjoyed from your own private base. We are within striking distance of the Tarka Trail and numerous other footpaths and bridleways. Surfers can head to Croyde Bay or Woolacombe, paddle boarders and kayakers need just wander into the village. There are golf courses within a 10 minute drive, lots of local horse riding opportunities, ther's even an Alpaca herd on the other side of the vally, not forgetting the Dinosaur Park. Fishing enthusiasts who've stayed with us say there is excellent local angling and lake fishing.
Combe Martin itself is a lovely coastal village. We have at least 4 pubs (opening hours vary seasonally), numerous shops including one that makes and sells the best fudge (in my opinion anyway), a friendly deli (the best mince pies at Christmas), mini supermarkets and a lovely bay and beach with rock-pools. The village is on the South West Coast Path offering spectacular views whichever way you walk.
